Mayan Aqua Dive is owned by Karl and Karla and is a well run, professional dive operation in Cancun. We stayed at the Club International de Cancun where they are located, which made it extremely easy. The equipment is well maintained as it the boat. They take small groups so this is not a cattle boat experience, but much more personalized. The dive masters, Ben and Ulysses are wonderful. We also arranged a day trip to dive in Cozumel, which was excellent despite a mix up on the pick up time. If you are bringing you own gear, you'll need to bring it with you each day as there is no storage at the resort shop where they are located.

We went in September and although the air temperature was 85-90, the bottom temp was 75 in some places due to the thermoclime - so bring your full wetsuit.

I can't say enough about ALL the staff at MAD.The whole crew at Mayan Aqua Dive were just amazing. I spent a week in Cancun and have been diving for some time before going to Mexico. I hooked up with Ben, Ulysses, Jorge, Karl and of course Sidro. I went with MAD due to TripAdvisor reviews and they FAR out did themselves. This outfit were just fantastic. Small groups and any type of dive you want can be done. I dove Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with Mayan and wanted more but had to leave but will be back soon to dive yet again with Mayan. I was very, very happy to have dove with these guys and recommend them to anyone, rookie divers to the most experienced divers. I did the Cenotes, 2 Wreck Dives, Cozumel reef & Cancun Night dive so I dove pretty much with the whole crew at MAD and think they are all great, safe and experienced gang who only take small groups out at a time. Can't wait to go back and book more dives with these guys. If anyone from MAD reads this and want to dive in Canada (St.Lawrence) you let me know and I'd be happy to take you out.

Good experience with Mayan Aqua Dive. Video also shows Whale shark tour with Ceviche II out of Isla Mujeres. In retrospect, would have liked to do the Whale shark visit through Mayan Aqua also. Next time!

Just returned last week from diving with Ben & Ulysses from Mayan Aqua Dive on 7/6-7/09 and 7/9/09. I last had the pleasure of diving with them 2 years ago in July 2007.

Not only do Ben and the staff at Mayan Aqua Dive, provide great customer service, but they are a full-service, safe, professional group of divers, that are also genuinely good folks. If you have any questions, call or e-mail Ben and he will promptly respond.
