“Great time at a beautiful resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Other than a couple of minor gliches (not even worth mentioning) we had a great time at this resort. It is absolutely beautiful and the staff were great. We were also able to check in early and had a very nice room. I'm not sure that I can add a lot to the other reviews but here is one piece of information that others may find helpful. It is best to arrange travel to/from airport to hotel ahead of time. BD travels is the company we used and they have an office inside the Hyatt hotel which proved to be very helpful. When going to through the cancun airport do not allow yourself to get sidetracked by the many sales people that you will encounter. We enjoyed the resort so much that we had planned a trip to the Hyatt Ziva in Los Cabos but due to the storm Hyatt had to cancel our reservations.

Still here. Visiting 10\14-10/25. Great everything. Beach, pool, cleanliness, attention to detail. Superb dining. Many kudos to Spice Restaurant staff: Luis Uscanga (Captain), Eric and Hector Zepeda. They go above and beyond expectations. Then there's Marie Marie staff: Mgr Selena Caranza, Waiters Freddy and Mateo. Our wonderful Hostess Paola Gonzalez. Can't say enough about this place. It was all we wanted and more! Will hate to leave.

Room Tip: Upgrade for sure

My family and friends stayed at the Hyatt Zilara Oct 3-8 to celebrate my 50th birthday. The resort and ocean views are so beautiful and service was unreal! They all made me feel like a queen! We had a few issues that could have ruined our entire trip when my group arrived for check-in. Once it was brought to Rafeel's attention he immediately began working out the problems. After all was done,he even upgraded our other 7 guests to the Grand suite in the Zilara. Refeel's s customer service was outstanding! Rafeel was very helpful and patient. I observed him during the time we were there and I noticed that he had a natural, calm spirit who naturally treated everyone the same with great respect! We recommend that he be promoted as he is the best representative onsite! In fact we renamed him the "Cleaner" because he was cleaning up so many other issues while assisting us. I hope they know what a great asset they have in Rafeel!! THANKS AGAIN Rafeel, my birthday was the most memorable trip. ever!
I was disappointed because I had arranged to have my birthday dinner at the Chef Table, but for some unknown reason it closed the entire time. We were are also disappointed with Asiana this trip. The Marie Marie was set up in a ballroom, as a buffet the entire time and the food was okay. The best restaurants were the Spice and Pelicano. We look forward to see you soon!

Room Tip: We stayed in suite 701, which is the left side of the resort where work was being completed. This d...

The Hyatt Zilara is a beautiful’ resort, the service is excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
The check-in staff was very nice but not so helpful. She made reservations for us for a week in the Chef's table
and not told us that Maria Mari and Chefs Plate will be closed during our stay.
Serious failure of Management, two favorite places to eat closed at the same time.
But we never went hungry. Excellent service and the food we had was delicious, enough choices to make everyone happy.
I’m a whiskey - cognac drinker. Good choice Martell VSOP, Courvoisier VSOP and sometimes Privilege, definitely not watered down.
Pools and Beach fantastic. The service outside was excellent!
The room was very nice as well (#732 Corner Ocean front Suite). The beds were too soft for my taste.
On a negative note, we complained 2x early (1am-4am) on that it sounded like the people above us kept moving furniture around in their room,
this could really be annoying!!!!
The entertainment crews were awesome, nightly shows, all in all we had mostly-positive experiences.
In my opinion the Royal was better than the Hyatt Zilara, the food used to be better.
Maybe this place will be five stars someday, but it's not now.
Would I recommend it - sure, with a few ifs

We just had the most wonderfull 7 days vacation at this hotel. What makes this place so special is the courteous and friendly staff. Everything they did made us feel like royalty. Thanks to Jesus, Eduardo, Daniel, Guadalupe and many others for the great service we recieved. We ate mostly at the Asiana and Spice restaurants where the food and selection was superb.

We had the swim up suite with a balcony which we very much enjoyed. House keeping was excellent and turning down the bed for us every night was a nice touch.

The Beach was nice, but the sea a bit rough this time of year.

We will definitely return

My first time in Mexico was wonderful at this hotel. The service was excellent, starting with Fabian in the spice restaurant who was attentive to us during breakfast, Noe at the Mexican restaurant, Anna and the rest of the staff at the spa. I learned blackjack with David. It was great.

Love my stay @ Hyatt Zilara felt like a queen this vacation. The facility is immaculate. Thank you to staff that made this first trip to Cancun memorable. When you visit make sure you encounter Fabian (Spice restaurant), David (Entertainment Dept), Rosalia & Carmen (Spa), Astrid & Amenth (Guest service)
