It was a great trip. The staff is very friendly and go out of there way to make sure u are having a great time. The rooms are very nice and clean, but were a little warm at times. The food was great and they have a great selection. The waiters are amazing especially Luis and Ernesto. I would recommend this hotel to to everyone

My husband & I stayed in an ocean front room and the view from the balcony was gorgeous. The rooms are very nice. The beds are comfortable. We truly felt pampered during our stay. I enjoyed the aroma and thought it was a nice added touch that we could order scents for our room from a housekeeping menu. There is no “main pool”.. there are so many pools and no matter where you choose to lounge (including the beach), you will be waited on. Your glass is rarely empty. The staff is very attentive and work very hard.

The restaurants were all very good. Our favorite for dinner was Azul. Breakfast was wonderful, and the breakfast buffet was open late (maybe until noon?), which was really nice after a night out until 4 am. I loved the coffee bar and sushi station.

The workout room was great. They have a good mix of machines and free weights (no barbells, but that is not uncommon). There were 6 treadmills and sometimes a wait on those. They served iced green tea, which was so refreshing.

The ocean was great and the lifeguards were so alert. They were sticklers about not allowing swimming where the red flags were out. There was some seaweed, but no sharp rocks.

There are many reviews about the lack of nightlife, but the lounge bar off the lobby (Egos) was a lot of fun. The DJ played fun music and was accommodating. The bar & cocktail service was great. The cocktail nuts were to die for.

Overall, I really loved Live Aqua and would recommend it to anyone looking for an adults-only relaxing vacation located in the Cancun hotel zone. Our only complaint was that the wireless signal was not strong enough for handheld devices (Kindle, IPod, IPhone, etc) although our laptop picked up the signal fine. There are computers available for use, along with printers so you really can’t complain.

We stayed from Oct 21 to Oct 27 2011. I have to say it is a really beautiful hotel and their food and drinks are so good 5 stars! We booked garden view, they upgrade us to ocean view. you will be so relaxing waking up 6 am looking at the beautiful beach. all staff are very nice and polite even 1 or twice we forgot to tip them they won't be upset with small tip or no tips. it is an upscale hotel, Guests are business man, retired people. Not teens looking for party, (cons: not much hot bikini body)

One thing is that the tub has no shower or curtain, so we only use the stand shower. Air condition, room service, hot water are all good. Walking around the area, we have felt that Live Aqua is best all-inclusive hotel for people who just want a quite relaxing holiday.

We stayed from May 8th-14th.I had been reading reviews for about a month, and was scared to think what I would get once we arrived. However, Im glad I didnt let those reviews get the best of me. Like I read, we received our hand massage and tea upon arrival. The only thing that was not on file was our hotel credits that were suppose to be given to us with our package. However that was taken care of the next day by management. Our room was on the first floor and on the side of the "empty lot".. People it isnt as bad as people make it out to be... We had room 1040, which we got a good view of the ocean and the lagoon.Really how long are you spending in your room to really complain? My only set back in the room was the shower!! Pressure was fine, but boy did it leak!! Nothing a few towels couldnt fix..Food: to be honest we dont like all that fancy food. We tried Azur the first night and were just fine with our choice. Other than that we ate just about ever meal at "Siete", and had one dinner at MB. I cant say anything bad about the food or service.. Now let me tell you about the best customer service we had out there!! Cesar D & Esperanza in the swim up bar pool were AMAZING!!!! They took great care of us on both Saturday and Sunday of our visit. They waited on us hand and foot!! YOU kinnda feel bad for all that they do for you, but my husband made a good friend in the end... We also cant forget Jonathan, Patricia, David, and the rest of the night crew bar at Aka Bar. My husband is a Budlight drinker, and that isnt to easy to come across down there. They did however have a small supply left over from an event they had a few weeks ago, and were not scared to share with my husband. I asked for different drinks to try and again I was not disappointed. Carlos in the front desk also took good care of us whenever we needed info.. I wish I could go back next week. I did enjoy the aromatherpy smell in the hotel, didnt bother me at all. The cevechi bar was oh so good!! The grounds were kept clean, the maids did a great job and i have nothing bad to say about this place!!! Thank you all for a great time and making this a memorable "10 year wedding aniversary"..
