Was just in La Paz and thought the marisco restaurants there could not be rivaled. I was wrong. El Pescador does everything as well or better. They even serve the Baja almejas chocolatas (chocolate clams). If you have never tried these clams, you need to. They serve them raw in the shell. You squeeze a little lime juice on them and add some habanero sauce (if you like it spicy) and enjoy. They are the freshest/cleanest tasting seafood you will ever have.
Besides the clams, they do a wonderful garlic octopus, outstanding shrimp and scallop aguachile and refreshing ceviche. Those are the items I tried, but I am sure everything they prepare is amazing
Prices are very, very reasonable (including alcohol) and the restaurant is on a fun little side street off of Tulum that is great for people watching.
Do yourself a favor the next time you are in Cancun and find your way to this incredible restaurant. You won't regret it.
