I vacationed with my family at Cancun less than a week ago. The staff at the front desk were brief and cold. Due to the recent renovations that the hotel had a month ago, we noticed a few changes. For example, it looks more modern, they took away its tennis courts, and they also added new features to the rooms. The wall separating the bathroom and the main room (the bedroom) was translucent, allowing people to see the silhouette of the person bathing. Our kids were not comfortable with this feature (pre-teens). Other than that, we enjoyed the amenities that the hotel offers, like the several pools and a beautiful beach. The shopping area and ferry to Isla Mujeres are in walking distance. They have a great selection of food at their buffet and the hotel was always kept clean. However, the free internet is only available at the lobby for only 90 minutes (basic connection). We also noticed that the travel agents were kept on the theater's side and not in the air conditioned lobby. I feel that it was an inconvenience for both of us, since it gets very hot and we have to process our payment in the lobby. The entertainment was targeted for adults, my husband and I enjoyed the bean bag toss and relay race in the pool. My older son played ping-pong when the table was available. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
