This is a neat area in Cancun where you can rent a Harley eat at Ruth's Chris's,buy high end watches, shoes, and blue diamonds. There are lots of places to see ,shop ,and drink. Also a few pharmacies in case you tried the local ice cream.....the Aztec two step!

“Avenida Kukulkan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

Great street to "wander" on during a vacation. Hotels and markets, not to mention American food joints...if you went all the way to Cancun to get a Big Mac. It's great that the lagoon is on one side, with all sorts of snorkeling and scuba stuff trips. And the street provides easy access to Wal-Mart!!

“Convenient and safe - take the bus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

Avenida Kukulkan is the main boulevard connecting the big Cancun hotels with the downtown. The street is lined with a bunch of hotels and two good size shopping areas, Plaza Kukulkan and La Isla shopping center. Both locations cater to tourists and have a lot of designer boutiques. You can also find stores that offer the obligatory Mexican souvenirs.

The best part of Avenida Kukulkan is that it is supported by several local buses that run from downtown Cancun to all of the hotels, 24 hours a day. The bus will pick you up just about anywhere you're standing and will drop you just about anywhere you ask the driver to drop you. The bus costs less than a dollar to ride and accepts US dollars. Not sure if the driver makes change, I just gave them a buck per ride.

Avenida Kukulkan also has Cancun's "party zone" with Senor Frog's, Coco Bongo, etc. and the bus will drop you right out front.

Worth a visit.

“busy main street, but a taste of Mexico”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

We traveled this street in our Hotel Shuttle and on a regular city bus to go shopping. Loved the Coconut trees complete with coconuts in the median and the profusion of Oleanders in full bloom.
