We stayed here on a pre-honeymoon trip for 3 days on their all-inclusive package, which was sadly very disappointing. The hotel itself is nice enough - not that many frills although our room was a really good size with a beautiful view of the lagoon, and housekeeping made a really lovely kissing swan display out of towels (which was a pleasant surprise). The hotel is right on the beach, so that's a plus although we didn't like the obvious differentiation between "regular guests" and "elite guests" who we assumed referred to the timeshare owners. We tried the spa services for 2-for-1 massage, and that was surprisingly good; however, that's pretty much where the 3 stars can go no further. Thank goodness for the hotel's super-close proximity to downtown Cancun (only 15 minutes walk) because this was definitely the most disappointing "all-inclusive" resort we've ever been too. The food at the 2 restaurants was really unimpressive (except for the "green juice" which was really tasty). Dinner at the so-called Italian restaurant was bland, while the buffet restaurant had limited fare. Then, of course the watered-down drinks with cheap alcohol didn't help at all. Then, to make it all worse, we were hounded by our concierge to attend the timeshare presentations and to purchase with one of their sister resorts. We even tried to have dinner at the Mexican restaurant at another sister resort (Ocean Spa) but we were left wondering how it was possible to have bad-tasting Mexican food in Mexico!
Thankfully our trip was short and Cancun has lots of things to do so that our time being at the hotel was limited. However, when we visit Cancun again (which we definitely will), we will not be staying here again.
