We were in Cancun, it's a Sunday morning in the middle of the NFL season, so it's time to watch some football. Did a trip advisor search, asked the concierge for advice, and made the decision to give Champions a try.
We get there at noon (when the first games are about to kick off) and were the first ones there and none of the tv's were on. I'm thinking this is not a good start. We sit down, order a drink, and miss the kickoff of the cowboy game. Again, not a good start.
Within ten minutes, the place is packed with Americans, everyone is enjoying the games, and my opinion begins to change. Ordered another drink, some food, continued watching games, and forgot I was in Mexico. I felt like I was in anywhere, USA, at a local sports bar enjoying the games. Champions has cornered the market on a sports bar in Cancun.
The drinks were pricey, the bar food average. But the sports watching was as good as any in the US. If watching a game is the goal, you can't go wrong with Champions.
