“Perfect for overnight between planes and buses!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Booked this place as it was fairly close to the bus station, but away from the noise that lots of reviews talked about, and the reviews seemed good on here.we were not disappointed, arrived late at night from airport and the security guard checked us in, he was so lovely and spoke nice and slow as our Spanish is only so so and he didn't speak english! The rooms are huge, really well decorated(newly done i think as it all looked brand new and could kinda smell fresh paint!!).for the money really wasn't expecting such a nice, big, clean, modern room!! Was really quiet, the café by the pool is nice to sit and have the free breakfast, its not much but its enough, you can have it brought to you room if you want!! For us the location was fine as we were moving straight on from bus station that was a 5 minute 30peso taxi ride away but dont know how good it would be if you were basing yourself here as had a little walk around and wasnt much in immediate area so would always be getting buses and taxis, if you had a car would be great! Would recommend this place 100% for a stop over, what you got for 899 peso with taxes and breakfast included is amazing value, and will use the hotel again for sure.

We stayed here for many days and used this a base for visiting Chichen Itza, Seeing Flamingos in Rio Lagartos, Ek Balam and also day trips to Isla Mujeres, and to the hotel zone beaches.

The hotel is very close to the centre and is 2 blocks from Walmart, a great restaurant for all meals is 100% natural which is a 10 minute walk away. There are also many other restaurants within a 15 minute walk and the area felt very safe day or night for walking around.

You can get bus P1, and P2 which costs about 9 pesos to any part of the hotel zone and public beaches from a 5 -10 minute walk from the hotel, making this a great place to base yourself in Cancun without paying Hotel Zone prices.

The hotel has free parking in front with security cameras covering the parking area.

We hired a car from Hertz which was great value with full insurance and drove all over the Yucatan peninsula.

The rooms in the hotel are very large and very well equipped with 2 double beds, large flatscreen TV, cable TV, AC, safe, fridge, sofa, and desk with chair and nice bathroom with shower.

There is an included breakfast which you pre-order the night before to have in the courtyard / cafe or in your room, the breakfast is quite basic and extras can be ordered if you want a cooked breakfast, but i was happy with the free breakfast.

When we arrived late at night the security guard on reception didn't speak much english but we got there is the end. All the staff are extremely friendly and reception staff spoke very good English and helpful and i would highly recommend staying here if you are independent traveler.

Hint:
Renting a car with full insurance is easy and a bit more expensive than in Europe but petrol is half the price, so it all works out in the end.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard on the right as you enter, are very peaceful

Pro: free music, con: you cant have a quality sleep. And recepition is already gone. Well done.

Location: easy for food and walmark, nothing else.

Stayed here in Jan 13. Good rooms and breakfast, free wi-fi, friendly helpful staff, there are a few restaurants within a mile or so walking so somewhere to eat at night.
Easy drive to the beach and really good value for money.

We stayed here for 10 days. We found Grand City from TripAdvisor and we really were not dissappointed. The rooms were clean and tidy. In Suites there were breakfast option which includes pan, fruit, yoğurt and some optional choises. Also the staff were really friendly, especially Mr. Motti and private security guy (i don't remember his name, shame on me) were really helpful.
Best wishes from Seda&Derviş; your Turkish guests:))

I stayed there a week with my daughter and really enjoy the place. Rooms were big, modern, confortable and clean. The hotel is located close to everything. The breakfast included a choice of fruit juice, fruits, yougourt, toast or cereal. It was enought for us but the restaurant (cafeteria) also proposed bigger breakfast for very affordable prices, it's also possible to have lunch at the hotel. Food was great. The service was also excellent. The manager was always available to help and even helped planed our taxi from the airport since we arrived late at night. We really enjoy staying there and would recommend it for a day or week stay.

We booked here based on reviews on Trip Advisor and stayed 3 different nights throughout our trip to Cancun. We certainly were not disappointed. Exceptionally clean, wonderful knowledgable staff, big modern rooms, and great WiFi. Couldn't have asked for more and close to everything from Wal Mart, to great dining. It was the best place we stayed on our holiday. Highly recommend if you don't want the beach scene!!! Thanks Mario for a great stay.
