stayed here 4/26 to 4/30, Asked at the front desk for a room with a fridge, no problem, very nice employees, grounds and pool well kept and the 1 restaurant had very good food and service, only open for breakfast and lunch. Within walking distance, 10 to 15 minutes, to playa Tortuga, where the ferry to isla Mujeres and public beach is and also to downtown hotel zone and all the shops and restaurants and another public beach, Playa Caracol. The room was clean and the shower pressure and hot water was great. The only negative would be that there isn't a hair dryer in any of the rooms. I was told there was 1 for the whole hotel and that you had to share it. The hotel area was quiet, and we really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: we had rood 314 which had the frige, Came in handy for beer, water and yogurt.

We needed a hotel for one night before catching our plane home. This hotel was well maintained, clean and had some Mexican charm to it. It is off the lagoon vs the main road so is a little quieter and cheaper than other hotels in the area. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Room Tip: Try to get a room far away from the main outside doors. When people come in at night, the doors bang...

We couldn't get into our timeshare for two days after our arrival in Cancun and happened to stay here. The room was very clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Only one person spoke English, but they tried to help whenever possible. The food at the restaurant was very reasonable and good. It was a very good place to stay and the pool was nice and the other people staying there were very friendly. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Even though we only spent one night there, my fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay.
Pros: very clean. Clean pool. Hot showers. Very cold ac. Great breakfast in the back cabana while watching black eguana sunning them selves.

Cons: there was no internet in the rooms, you had to go out by the pool. The lock box had no way to lock.

All in all it was a really nice stay for one night. So if you are doing Cancun on a budget, this is a really good hotel!

Perfectly decent budget option in Cancun. Hotel and staff are fine, the pool is good and they have a nice terrace overlooking the lagoon. Very close to the main strip (coco bongos etc) and easy to get a taxi from outside the hotel. Also very quiet and a goodnights sleep which is a bonus considering you're in Cancun.

This place is fairly inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area and it showed why
In my case I was going solo so as long it was clean it was ok. It was that, but tv was very fuzzy and did not work properly. Don't expect a coffee make or even a glass in the rooms. This is the ultimate in bare bones

I had the breakfast there 2 days it was cheap and not bad. There are a few cantinas within walking distance that do serve a good breakfast and a better bet.

We booked this hotel for 4 people in Dec 2014 between Christmas and New Years. However, when we arrived, the man at the front desk rudely told us that the only rooms left were a double and a single or a king bed. Even though our reservation was for a room with two double beds, he said it was not his problem that no room was available.

Not only this, but he charged us an extra $40 ($20 per person) for having 4 people, even though our reservation was clearly for 4, not two, people as he claimed. It was around 9pm at night so he sarcastically suggested that check the hotel next door knowing that every hotel in Cancun was completely booked for the holidays. We moved to go outside to discuss our options, but he barked that he would not hold the room and sell it if we left (at 9pm on a Thursday night - I don't think so!). In the end, we paid the extra $40 and squished into a room with a double and a single.

The room itself was disgusting and tiny. The bathroom had stains everywhere and felt very grimy. Luckily, we were only there for a night because all our backpacks had to be piled up in the corner (and they were still in the way!), and the beds were uncomfortably hard. I have stayed in cheap hotels, but this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. All in all, please save your money and stay somewhere else. They will not honor your reservation, no matter how clearly it is spelled out!

Room Tip: The wifi only works around the pool
