This is hurricane season in Mexico so there were not a lot of people there. I think the most people we saw at the pool at any given time was 30! It was like we had the entire place all to ourselves. The rooms are immaculately kept as well as the grounds and the entire hotel. The service at the pool was outstanding as well as the service in all of the restaurants. There is a Thai restaurant an Argentinian Steak House a Japanese Hibachi and an American bar and grill. We dined in all of them and the food was fantastic. We were almost unable to finish the surf and turf for two at the steak house! There is watersports desk outside by the pool which made making plans to dive, jetski, snorkel or parasail or whatever you want to do easy. The watersports center is a short walk across the street and eat in The Shrimp Bucket when you are there. Great Mojito's and great food and service there too. They serve a "vacation size" drink which is about 40 ounces so one Mojito and you will be doing the mambo before you know it!
I would recommend this hotel for anyone planning a romantic vacation or honeymoon they are also family friendly too. If you dive make sure you make a plan to go to the Cenote, it's in the middle of the jungle and you dive in fresh water through pitch black underground caverns with flashlights that exit to amazing sunlight filled rooms. It's something any diver will never ever forget.
This was a great hotel with a great staff and great restaurants and amenities. My wife and I are Marriott fans and this one is a winner.
