“One of my greatest experiences”

My brother and I went to Scuba Fred's to become certified, from the very beginning I new this would be a good experience. Fred met us at our arranged time that we picked, he gave us the option of starting whenver we were ready , which was nice. Fred took his time to explain the program and go over the paper work with us, then it was right into the class work, by mid-day he had us in the pool swimming around having a great time I was surprised how quick we picked it up, but I tell you Fred's method of instruction was great. Fred made it easy to understand and even the dive tables were no problem. Obviously the ocean experience is the best part we saw so many fish, turtles, and even a shark, I thought iti was great. It was alittle rough on the surface, but Fred made me feel safe and comfortable with the conditions and like he said once under the water everything is completely different. My brother and I finshed our course in three days, but were so excited and pleased by how things went, we jumped right in and took the next class called the advance course the next day. We got to do a night dive, and I got to see an octopus which was really cool, and we also made a shipwreck dive where I saw eagle rays, that was awesome. All in all my brother and I spent the whole week divng with Fred and had one of the greatest experience ever. we are planning to see Fred again soon and continue what is now my favorite hobby. I would definately recommend Scuba Fred's to anyone, he is great, knowledgable, and trustworthy person.

“Excellent Cancun Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2010

This was my first trip to Mexico, and among some of the things that I did. I scuba dived with Scuba Fred's. It was a great experience.

I was taken through the quick training, but my instructor was able to see that I was comfortable enough with the exercises.

My first dive was a beginner dive at Santo Remedio, and I was underwater for 40 minutes. It was intense. My instructor and the photographer that goes down with you, point out all the sea life that they can find. Which is a lot...

My second dive was at an intermediate reef La Bandera, due to no current and my instructor thought that I would be able to handle it. It was lovely. I even had a run in with fire coral, and he was quick thinking about the remedy to help with the itchy burning pain.

All in all this was a fantastic trip. A direct trip to heaven, if you ask me. Would recommend this to everyone. Friends, family, strangers. Scuba Fred's made this experience one of a kind with their personalities, experience and all around jovial attitudes. 5 Stars, and definitely 2 Thumbs Up!

“Scuba Fred is the Bomb”

2 couples and 2 kids discovered scuba Fred through our apple rep at our hotel after a miserable experience with scuba caribe, the dive shop on site at our hotel. What a blessing indisguise this find was, the 4 adults are all PADI cerified and the 2 kids aged 12 and 14 had 2 discover scuba classes. Fred asked some questions to the kids to make sure they knew what they were talking about and than off we went. We were 45 mins late(lost) and scuba fred didnt even mind, saying no big deal lets go. The 2 guides named Clemente and Jesus(Friday) 1 captain and the 6 of us were the only people on the boat. They were friendly and very professional and courteous, asking where we would want to go and giving us his opinion on what might be best for all of us involved, boy was he right. Clemente shot a video and many photos of our trip and they turned out fantastic and the price was not to bad, good thing is as he was shooting video and polaroids you could enjoy the diving. We always had 1 guide in front and 1 behind us and after each dive they had a cold drink of water for you waiting on board. I highly recommend Scuba Fred when diving in Cancun, they truely were the best and we all felt safe.
