We found Peter's the first year it opened and continue to look forward to returning each time we are in Cancun. What impresses us is the consistency of the quality and the warmth of atmosphere. Being greeted by the chef/owner, Peter, is quite unique and it gives the feel of entering his private home as he offers special dishes of the evening.
This is a small restaurant and the warmth is enhanced by Claudia, his charming wife, and their son Eddie.
Now to some of the specialties: The mushroom ravioli is an excellent appetizer. I actually ordered a double portion one evening as my main course. The salads are generous with fresh ingredients.
My husband had duck breast this visit and was convinced it was the best he ever had. The pork ribs are also one of his favorites as is the veal chop (when it is offered). I love brisket and I love sauerkraut, who can imagine them together? Peter has created a unique mouth watering dish.
As all inclusive resorts are invading Cancun we hope exceptional restaurants such as Peter's can continue to survive.
