Didn't know what to expect of the Pirate cruise when we booked it but we were very suprised at how good it actually was!

When we got onto the boat there were more people than we expected but this only added to the atmosphere.
Whilst we queued up for the boat, there were pirates in full dress walking round that you could have your picture with and a shop for you to buy pirate accessories yourself if you wished to do so.

We were given drinks throughout the night by our own personal Pirate and often without having to ask.
The main pirate was really funny and spoke very good English, it really gave you the feeling of being aboard a Pirate ship but with comedical value included.

Games were played, but mainly just to distract people whilst row after row were sent down to the cabin for food, which was absolutely delicous by the way. Steak and Lobster with a selection of trimmings.
Was really nice to eat inside the cabin of a boat and a change to what we normally did.
By the time we came back up we were already quite drunk from all the drinks we had and were still supplied with more.

The other pirate ship came to fight with the Capitan Hook which we were on, which resulted in Pirates climbing aboard our ship and a battle ensuing.
After the battle, the stools were cleared, disco lights came on and music was put on so that everyone could have a dance whilst we sailed back to show! It was like having a disco on a boat!

Overall we had a great time and said that this was probably the best night of our holiday, definately the funniest anyway!
I'd recommend letting your hair down, getting drunk and allowing yourself to have fun!

Overall good acting, good comedy and good food! I'd definately recommend this night and from the amount of people that were on each boat I'd say its already very popular! x

We had an okay time on the pirates night, the food was lovely and there was lots of it. You aren't allocated tables you go to the buffet and are given a seat and have to move as soon as you have eaten for someone else to sit down as the dining area is small so don't expect to hang around. The entertainment started off well although it does get tedious towards the end they also do a lot of party games needing participation from the audience and it isn't easy to hide. We were constantly being given drinks so that wasn't a problem as it isn't self service and the people on the ship are very nice. However, I doubt I would go again.

Besides swimming with the dolphins, this was the best part of our week in Cancun! We had booked this dinner cruise through our travel agent back in November for our 20th anniversary celebration and we had a bit of a problem with the voucher Worry Free Vacations had given us. However, after about 10 minutes, we were ok'd and on our way. We were on the green ship with Captian Hook who was fantastic. All the crew were laughing and lively and the friendliest I've ever seen. They went out of their way to see that everyone had a good time. I think almost everyone on our ship did. I didn't see anyone sitting looking bored. They put on a great show but it is loud so if your looking for romance, look elsewhere. The trip lasted for about 3 hours. We had been told that there would be a pirate fight between the two ships but it was so windy that I was afraid that it wouldn't happen. It did and it was fantastic. The dinner was excellent and service was great! For an overall great time, I highly recommend this cruise! Ahoy to all the crew!

First, I will say that I was very surprised by this excursion. When standing in line I saw a lot of families, which kind of made me worried being that we were a early to mid 20s couple. I decided that I was going to make the most of our time there and I can say that that made ALL the difference. In the beginning it was a little tough to get drinks because our waiter was also trying to put on a show, but we then realized that we could just go to the bar ourselves so we had plenty of alcohol. The show was very entertaining, I even thought that at times it may not have been so appropriate for children (but only for somewhat uptight parents). Dinner was really nice, the food was good and we sat right next to the window and had a great view. There were some people around us that didn't look like they were having a great time, but as soon as we started trying to engage them (and get them to drink), they had a blast.

Takeaways:

Additude is everything. The show is entertaining, but you have to get involved and try to make it fun yourself.

Don't expect a romantic cruise or any nonfictional glance into the life of a pirate. Like others said, it is like a disco.

Unless you are a really fun person naturally, it probably won't be that fun for most people unless you take advantage of the open bar and have fun with other people taking advantage of the open bar.

If you're not planning on dancing in a somewhat cramped environment, then I would suggest something else.
