Hungry, thirsty and tired from a long day in Chichen Itza, my wife and I needed belly filling food. Right across the street from our hotel, we saw this Brazilian hotel at the end of zona hotelera. Not willing to walk far, and very curious, we crossed the street into Rio.
We sat, heard the low down on what a churrascaria restaurant is all about. After a small green salad from the salad bar, we turned our table token from red to green, to cue the waiter. Within a couple of minutes we were brought the first of many spitts, each one with a different, charred and tender to perfection treat. Including pork, chicken, beef, pineapple, to name a few.
It was a meal well worth the higher than average price. I will surely return if I ever go back to Cancun.
