Stayed one night at the Hyatt Regency between flights and really enjoyed it for a short stay. It is not a resort by any means, just a hotel. But it is an absolutely beautiful hotel. We had an oceanview room and it is the most beautiful view in Cancun, right where the shore curves and you can see all the way down the hotel zone. The rooms are modern and clean.

The beach is nice, but the sand is a bit duned from the tide. The water is very, very clear. There are loungers and beach beds in a beautiful setting. The pool area is also quite aesthetically pleasing. However, it could be improved with an ocean view. The food was great, but service at the pool was a bit slow.

Breakfast buffet was out of this world! Lots to choose from and good quality. Also, great views from the breakfast area.

Hyatt was offering a "double your money" special when we stayed. You got $200 worth of hotel charges for $100, $400 for $200, etc. So basically, everything was 50% off, but you must arrange this at the front desk.

One downside: The toilet would not flush properly half the time.

Room Tip: Go for the oceanview. You will not regret it!

Just returned from a short 3 day two night trip. We found the hotel to be clean. A must for us. The staff was friendly. The beach was nice. We ate at the hotel mostly and the food was good. The walls are a bit thin and you can easily hear music from the hotels down the beach and your neighbor. All in all a very nice trip and we will plan on staying here again when we return to Cancun.

We lived on 5th floors, room 513 and room 516. We heard someone talk about the beautiful of beaches and nice hotel, and good services. That's correct, but the Agent of the trip go to see scenery is suck, The bus to pick us up didn't show up on time, even though, said to us waiting in front of hotel's door at 7:50 am, no show, no call? They distroy us vacation. Moreover, the cashier in the food and drink services are not honor about the money. We gave him $50 USA, and buy some drinks and cakes, but he gave us back enough money. We have to ask him three times in order to get all correct money back. What's the heck!! We will let all of our friends, our co-worker know about this bad situation. Please please double check about your staff, if not, your company is not in exist anymore. Andy Phung.

Went there for a long weekend (Labor Day) and found it to be a great choice. It was low occupancy but high attention! The staff was great.

For the most part, we dined at the hotel and found it to be a high value choice. The food was very good and prices were reasonable or even better. There are several choices but the "Grill" was a great choice for a sunset dinner. We had lunches at the pool where the service was great for both lunch and the all important adult beverages! Breakfast is available as a buffet (full or continental) or ala carte. It was also good and reasonable.

We strolled into the commercial sections of the hotel zone and found it to be an easy walk. There were lots of night spots as well as restaurants within walking distance. There is an OXXO (mini-mart) right in front of the hotel if you want something to nibble, etc. All in all, it is a great location. The hotel could use a bit of updating but was very nice. The atrium area tended to be warm (hot) but rooms were fine. There are 2 sets of elevators but only 1 of the "front" elevators was working. That made for some longer waits but not too bad at all.

The beach, pool, and other outside areas were well maintained. The beach has a jetty just to the north/west that helps to keep it very clean. It was also quite shallow for a pretty long way unlike many of the Cancun beaches. That allowed for some extended swim/wade opportunities. There were no bead or braid vendors hassling us at all either.

It was certainly a pleasure to read your comments, particularly those complimenting the professionalism and dedication of the staff.

It is always nice when guests take time to let us know that our services have been to their satisfaction. I have also conveyed your valuable comments to our Department Heads as well, and they were very happy to learn that their efforts were appreciated.

We hope this will be the first of many "happy returns" to Cancun!.
