I traveled to the Crown Paradise Club resort from October 15th through the 24th. I got a great deal on this hotel so I gave it a chance. For the money it was good but it is by no means a five star resort. They have seven restaurants on the property but only two were open per night due to the hotel not being full. The sushi restaurant didn't open at all and they advertise that as being open every day for lunch. I enjoy good food so I was very disappointed by most of the restaurants here. The French was the only one that I really enjoyed. The others were average. The food on the buffet is the same every day at breakfast and lunch. My room was nice except for the bed being very hard! It was kept clean every day. The common areas were not as clean. One of the three elevators was broken the entire time. One day all three were broken and guests had to use the service elevator which was disgusting!! The pools and beach are very nice here and the staff is very friendly. Again, for what I paid it was fine but if I had paid more I would have been upset. If you go into your vacation with this in mind you will be fine. Be prepared!

We stayed at the Crown Paradise Club for almost two weeks with our three kids (0, 2 and 4 years). We picked this hotel because of all the positive reviews and because it's an all inclusive with is handy with kids.

We first had a room on the 1st floor and changed to the 5th floor because of ants. No problems with them anymore. The rooms were large and the beds were nice and hard.
For us it was perfect.

The food was better than expected but not great. We tried all the open restaurants and didn't like Wayn's, to dark and cold. The buffet was actually the best and we always stopped there for icecream. There is 24hr roomservice great if your kids wake up at 3 because of their jetlag.

The pool's were great and because of the slow season it was quite. Don't know what it's like when the hotel is full. The lifts were in maintanance but we could use the service lifts and that helped a lot.

My oldest liked the kidsclub, so we could relax from time to time. We saw one or two shows and they were fun to see but of course it's no Broadway ; )

For a family vacation it is great value for money and we would try the resort again if you would go to Mexico.

We stayed 7 nights, what a great resort. The staff was just awesome, I was the King and my wife the Queen! The pools were great, as I'm an early riser, I'm able to tell you that the maintenance staff took pride in the pools, clean and healthly. The buffet was outstanding, fresh friut every meal, the buffet was clean and food was hot. Say hi to Alandro (spelling). The resturants, all were fabulous with the exception of Waynes Boots. At Waynes the cuts of steaks were not that good, and they fail to mention that a resort host and DJ come in during the dinner hours and operate the mechanical bull. So to say the least its quite loud during those times and if your looking for a quite dinner you won't find it there. Fishermans and the La Piazza were outstanding! The resort host do a great job of enteraining at the main pool during the day, keeping the guests up and full of energy. There are other pools in the resort if you want more peace and quite. The beach front was just awesome! Room service delivered everything we asked for without question and in a timely manner. Our room attendant was just a person of excellance (her name was Petra), everyday there was something different with the towels, swans, hearts, etc. just amazing! The resort was clean from one end to the other. From the Crown Paradise it takes about 20 minutes by public bus to the downtown area, cost for two is about 15 pesos each way. The bus was fun and exciting, they drive those buses like NASCAR. After 3 trips into town, I can say the locals are very freindly and helpful. We also took the Morning Glory snorkeling adventure, well worth the money. In closing I would stay there again and suggest staying to all my family and friends. We had a nice 10 day stay here. The staff was incredibly friendly, the evening shows were entertaining, and the daily activites were fun and engaging. The babies and kids paradise were great for our 20 month old - especially the water park. We worked out while we were there and the fitness center was very sufficient and clean. The food was so-so...it could have been alot better. The rooms were outdated and in desperate need of pesticide control - we had ants everywhere ( they even got into our bag of M&Ms ). During the last few days there, water was leaking from the air conditioning filter. Also, they were doing elevator maintenance so only ONE elevator for the entire hotel was functioning. This was extremely inconvenient as there was always a long wait. However, like I stated the staff was super friendly and willing to please you. I would definitely go back but before doing so making sure that the elevators and ant problem has been fixed.

If you're looking for an upmarket, plush, quiet resort then this place is not for you. However, if you are meeting friends or family with kids (or even if not!), then Club Crown Paradise is a great place with lots of activities, water parks/slides, kids club and shows. Nevertheless, not having children ourselves we upgraded to the Club rooms prior to arrival (much cheaper this way, $50 a night if you do this at the resort) and stayed on a floor which had no children, its own bar with an excellent bartender, internet and you're own breakfast service. There is also an adults only pool with a swim up bar, so you can still have a quiet, relaxing holiday if that's what you're after! Not to mention that the resort still boasts its own private beach overlookingthe Caribbean, with 5 different pools and private jacuzzis in club rooms.... We had never been to an all-inclusive resort before, so were not expecting much from the food, but to our surprise, the food was great, cooked fresh in the buffet (to order) and there were plenty of different restaurants to choose from. But beware, if you are staying in "off season", only 2 of the 5 dinner restaurants were open on any night, and the afternoon japanese restaurant wasn't open the whole time we were there. Anyway, for the price, this place was amazing, and being there in the off-season meant the place was pretty quiet, perfect for a relaxing holiday with family....
