“Pleasant lunch on a rainy mid-July Saturday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Found this place on the second attempt, a few blocks north of the R-1 bus station on Ave. Tulum coming from the hotel zone, near the city hall (look for the Mexican flag) and 22 sm. Both the food and service were very good. It was a small restaurant with perhaps eight or nine tables. We ate our Saturday lunch at an outside table. It was rainy but the big umbrellas around us helped to keep the rain out. The only complaints would be the flies and the occasional street vendors walking up and down the street, but both would retreat at the wave of a hand.

“Good restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

They serve good Mexican food such as tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajita, and so on. The price was reasonable. I went there with my boyfriend, and we ordered seafood dish and fajita plus 2 margaritas. It costs about $20USD.

“Great place with good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Great little restaurant offering the standard Mexican fare. Prices are very reasonable but bring some cash because they do not take credit cards.

We had a fish filet with garlic and chili peppers, a burrito as well as a very good soup of the day. The margaritha was good too, without being overbearing strong. This restaurant is a very good value.

“Great Taco with cheap prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

We had been here twice during our visit in Cancun. The first time we visit here was when we just got off the flight. Very easy to find. Just located opposite side of burger king, and 5 minutes walk from ADO bus terminal.

Food:
The tacos are really tasty, and cheap(~65 peso)! We tried the chicken and beef taco, and also the fish fillet. The hot sauce is also authentic.

Service:
The waiter is very nice and explains every dish to us in English.

Something else:
The internet works great. You can ask the waiter for the password. The restaurant is outdoor without AC, so expect a very warm environment. It is mexico after all.

“Great food and service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

We chose to have our first meal at this place after we got off the plane. It is very close to the ADO station and city bus R1/R2 to the hotel zone are only minutes away. The Parque de Las Palapas is only one minute away.

We really enjoyed everything when we first tried this place. After exploring many other places in Yutacan Peninsula areas including Cancun, Merida, Tulum Ruins, Playa del Carmen, we still think that this place is one of the top restaurants. But they may not offer the best spicy sauce compared to the street food, and they are cheaper than any restaurants at the hotel zone but more expensive than the street food. This is what you would expect since it is a restaurant, not a type of places offering street food.

For people who have concerns of a restaurant's cleanness but still want to enjoy some local food, this is definitely a must-go place in Cancun.

They have free wifi but no air conditioning. For people who could not stand the heat, having a dinner there would be a better choice.
