We booked our vacation with Dream2Travel. We got a great deal and knew we would be required to listen to the high pressure sales pitch to purchase a vacation timeshare. We arrived at the airport in Cancun and tried to get to the private shuttle that was waiting, but got sidetracked by a tourist activity salesperson. My advice is to say No Thanks and scurry on past. Our driver had our name on a sign and we greeted him, he helped with the luggage and were taken straight to the Omni. We checked in, went to our room, looked out the balcony and saw beauty. It was after 10:00 pm so we went down and walked around the different pools and bars to check out the grounds which looked amazing at night. The lobby bar had several people there, so we joined that area and had a few drinks. We read before we left to tip the bartenders, servers and pool servers and you will be glad you did, so we gave him a nice tip. Then we went back to the room and ordered room service. The burgers, fries and a personal pizza arrived and were very good! The next morning up and went to the breakfast buffet. Great selection, hot and cold foods name your own omlets or eggs, coffee great, cream not so much. Now off to the pool (pools). We loved the pool with the chaises in the pool. The pool server came, drinks ordered, delivered and a nice tip given and he treated us like royalty! The dinner buffet changed nightly, Mediterranean, Italian, Mexican, etc. it was okay not bad or great. Our server Jose was outstanding and catered to my dislike for the soup and had the chef prepare something different to my surprise. Jose was awesome and we asked for him every evening. That night and the following days, when we walked in a bar or to the pool, we were greeted and treated like movie stars. Now for the 90 minute presentation...they were really nice, not hardcore, but persistent enough to keep lowering the deal. This is not in our budget now, but if we did have the money, it sounds feasible. So after about two hours we shook hands and parted. Back to paradise. Outside the Omni, we took the bus downtown for .85 and the taxi varies some charged 12.00 -15.00 negotiate before you get in. My advice - the bus if not in a hurry. Overall wonderful and we will be going again and bringing more friends and family.
