The ocean view was the best part. The food is terrible and the drinks were lousy. I would rather stay somewhere else for a little more money.

My close friend and I stayed at the Grand Oasis April 9-16th. All I can say is I have no idea where these reviewers were staying that had a BAD time because we had a blast. Everyone we met was fantastic and all the staff were GREAT! We planned on having a long wait for our room becasue we arrived at 11am and check in is at 3pm. We went and had lunch and checked back and was in our room by 1pm if that! Alex from Olympus tours is my only real complaint from the trip. He was overly pushy to get us to buy tickets to bars in town. We never went in town for the bars and had a great time on the resort.

Rooms were clean and the fridge was always stocked with extra beer (due to a nice tip at the start of our trip.) We had asked for double bedand only had a king but we did not care because HELLO we were in CANCUN! We did not pay for the safe and never had any issues with our money or passports.

Bartenders were fabulous especially Pedro at the pool on the far end from the party pool. He was amazing!!! We never found any of the staff to demand tips and were always gracious when we did. Manypeople said the drinks were watered down. All I can say is drinks are free so what does it matter because they were delcious. My only complaint is all tequila shots were triples and did not come with lime or salt. Again why complain about too much tequila?

Pools had adequate seating and we slept in till late and always were able to get seats without a hunt. We spent most time at the pool on the far end from the party pool. The party pool was always entertaining even if it was just to people watch. The dj down there was filled with energy and always doing fun activites that anyone could partcipate in, not just wild kids.

Food. Best places were Joy's, the sushi place, and market place. every where else was decent. And we never had to wait to get seated.

Fun bars at night, and all of them were near each other so there was always a blast happening outside. Again I never found any one to be demanding of tips.

I would go back and stay at the Grand Oasis again in a heart beat. It was fun and a fantastic price. WIN WIN.

My husband and I were winners of this trip back in October 2011. We stayed at Grand Oasis Cancun from April 21 - 28, 2012. For several months leading up to this trip, we checked with Trip Advisor regularly to see what others had to say. Sad that it was more bad than good. Glad we took the reviews for what they were - one opinion.

We can't say enough about this resort! Accommodations, staff and food were all wonderful. Sure, the time share people were annoying; sure, the partiers at one of the pool were obnoxious but the pool was so big, you simply hang out at the other end where it is quiet; so what that the tub did not drain very well...who cares!! Really, the things people complain about it makes you wonder why they would travel south in the first place. If you can't relax and sweat the small stuff, stay home. I loved that we had a language barrier with some staff...it forced you to practice your Spanish which is half the fun!

People who expect perfections on these types of vacations should just stay home. Funny that some said the TV did not work properly...did you really travel to Cancun so you could watch TV?!?

I can honestly say that I never would have chosen Cancun had I not won the trip. We will be back for sure and we would stay at this resort again.

Good location near downtown and shopping - take the bus for $1 each way Bus is 24 hours

Food; buffets were ok. A lot of restaurant choices a few good ones

Front desk people are not that helpful

Bartenders are great and its all inclusive - enough said! If you tip they take care of you

Rooms are simple, nice, clean. Rooms in pyramid w/ ocean view are nice.

Stay away from all the presentations / time share etc. Not worth it!

If you want to do tours or activities, the resort has a service that can set you up. they also can set you up with the clubs if you choose

Club on resort is ok, depending on the day

Beach has plenty of chair and tents. People are out early in the morning getting their spot!

Me and my girl had a great time! Relaxed in the ocean and by the pools!
