“Stayed A Month!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2010

I booked this hotel for my in-laws based on the tripadvisor reviews and they could not have been happier. They spent the whole month of February at this resort.

The breakfast was great every morning.
They stocked up on lunch foods at a small market across the street busy road to cross however.
They ate almost every dinner at the resorts beachside restaurant. They had a good selection and it was very affordable (about $35 per night). Much less then going to an all-inclusive resort.
The gardens are tended to every day.
Housekeeping was daily.
The rooms are spacious and well equipted.
The sand is powder soft the the waves are very calm.
Their only complaint was that the pool was too cold to swim in.
Very friendly staff and a great location.
Very small gym and salon on the property.
Lovely open air lobby.

As a side note they took a taxi and ate dinner one evening at Ruths' Chris Steakhouse and they said it was the best meal they ever had!

They felt so at home at this resort that they barely left the grounds for a full 28 days! They will be returning next year!!

In English for everybody:

I can really recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Cancun and like to be active and not only staying in the hotel (because all in is not bookable)! We walked along the other hotel beaches and I have to say that the beach is almost the best of the hotel zone: broad, white, no stones in the water, free chairs etc. The hotel is located perfect, only 2 bus stations to the nightlife and the bus station is directly in front of the hotel.
Due to the fact that it has only 3 floors, it is much nicer that the other ugly hotel bunkers. the garden and ground is kept very immaculate. You don't hear the cars of the street!
Also the breakfast is recommendable, you get american style breakfast with pancakes, eggs, very delicious omelette, hot food, fruits, coffee etc. (buffet) we also tested the restaurant in the evening and the meal was good as well.
The rooms are quite ok, clean and the beds are also comfortable. The first night the air-condition or something else smelled irritant Like chlorine or mold), and it was possible within the same night to change the room, so also the service is very good. We had no further problems.

All in all it is a very good price relation compared to the location, the rooms, the pool & beach and the food. If you like to get a cheap hotel which is clean, central and you need no special offers, then its perfect. We also made a lot of day trips. Nothing special, but almost as good as the 4 stars hotel we booked for the week after cancun (playd del carmen second week)!

I came here in Feb. 2010, for my birthday, and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful. The beach was so fabulous. It was nice and quiet and so peaceful. The rooms were comfortable, with a microwave and small refrigerator, so you can eat in your room if you want. The nearest grocery store is about a one minute walk away. The hotel was near all the shopping, bars, and restaurants, but far enough away, that you didn't have to deal with the noise. I will definitely return.

My boyfriend and I needed to get away! Upon endless hours of searching, we decided to go with Kin Ha (Ambiance Villas). We are so happy that we did!

SO SAFE! Security and staff monitored the building!!! All cars must get thru the gate security before entering.

We got the one bedroom suite that had the balcony, kitchen, and living room! Buffet breakfast was included. What an excellent value! We went to Cancun Walmart and stocked up on goodies for the room and saved alot of money by doing that.

The room was spacious. Bed was soooo comfortable!!!! Only complaint is that we had ants in the room. They came right away and took care of the problem.

Beach was beautiful! By far the best beach in Cancun. It's so nice that people from other hotels TRIED coming onto our beach but security would kick them off unless they are a visitor of a hotel guest.

Landscaping was very nice. Very well kept.

On the last night we decided to eat at their restaurant by the beach! Great choice!!! VERY DELICIOUS!!!

We cant wait to go again!

My wife and I returned to Ambiance Villas with our two young children after our first visit last winter. The hotel name has apparently changed to Beachscape, which we discovered as we pulled into the hotel upon our arrival.

Everything we love about this place from our first visit is still there. Great location and awesome beach - good, friendly service, large clean rooms, and so on. I do wish the pool was heated though. It so large, clean and inviting. But getting in is tough with the somewhat chilly water.

We had breakfast included and it was good. The egg station meant fresh omlettes every morning. I appreciated the Mexican breakfast items.

We LOVE Wal-Mart Cancun - not like any Wal-Mart I've seen before - an amazing selection of Mexican foods. We stocked up on some staple items (milk, juice, coke) but also got roasted chickens, cactus salad, fresh bread and pastries, etc. Wal-Mart should be your first destination to purchase food for your stay (if you don't want to eat hotel food three times a day). We ate lunch in our rooms and went out for dinners.

Alreadying thinking about our next visit.

Expedia lists the rooms for sale here as "Beachview" but when we got to the hotel they tried to upsell us what we thought we had already booked. They offered us the beachview for $49 more per night for a two bedroom. We were so tired that we checked in for the night thinking we could get some resolution the next day with Expedia. Well, once you check in you are committed to your itinerary. We found out they offered another couple this same upgrade a day later for $29. This seems to be a common theme when you visit Mexico. We have NEVER gotten the room we had booked and confirmed ahead of time. We have had to argue with the front desk staff every time. My advise is that you should book a basic room or garden view room wherever you go in Mexico and then pay for the upgrade when you get there. We did this at a Barcelo property with good result.

Just got back last week and I LOVED this hotel! The property is a little older and could use some updated furniture in the units, but overall, this was a terrific place to stay, especially with kids. The one-bedroom unit was very roomy and had full kitchen. Housekeeping did a wonderful job, a/c worked wonderful, staff was helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was great and we ate many lunches in the palapa beach restaurant. Meal prices were very reasonable and food was really good. The clean and beautiful beach was truly the best/biggest one around and we had sun all day, unlike some of the neighboring giant hotels that blocked sun on their rocky, narrow beaches! This place is a gem!
