I traded my timeshare through Interval International.. I was slightly reluctant to do so because the Marriott properties are certainly hard to compete with.. However!! This was by far the most elegant property I have ever stayed at. The accomadations were superior and the service was flawless. The food for the most part was great and I can't think of a single negative thing to say about Beach Palace.. I just wish there were more people visiting Cancun. It's a shame that there isn't more tourism right now.. By the way this was our 9th trip to Cancun and I will continue to visit every year because the Mexican people are " Wonderful".

We went to Beach Palace this year. Sept.30 thru Oct. 7th. We are Palace members and have always stayed at the Moon Palace. We thought we would try something different this year and stayed at the Beach Palace since we like to go to Market 28 in Cancun to get gifts. There wasn't many people there then. About 60 when we checked in. We felt like we had it to ourselves. Ceaser at the front desk was amazing and very helpful. A very smooth check in. The rooms were great! Loved the patio and big sunlounge on it. Better than the hammock at the Moon. We were treated sooo well by all the staff. I can't say enough about them. They became just like family by the end of the week. Before we left on the 7th, we took time to go around to them and take pictures and say goodbye. They took VERY good care of us and remembered us by name. I just hope that The Beach Palace knows how valuable these staff members are. They help make your vacation really feel like being at a paradise and relaxing!

We always stay at the Moon as I said, but we are so glad we tried the Beach. We visited the Moon one day. I wanted to go to the gift shops over there because they all have different things. I love the onyx they have. Last time we were there we bought several pieces like candle holders and bowls and star fish. They have the candle holders in the spa and are beautiful.

We went to Tullum and it was very interesting. I request everyone going at least once. Very hot and better take bug spray. If not from home you can buy it there but a little bottle is $7.00. I had the full message. I upgraded the regular free one with th $150.00 credit I had to it. I think everyone should take advantage of it. It was for 80 minutes. REALLY worth it! You have two people with this one. All the services and girls that gave them were wonderful and did a fabulous job.

We ordered room service one night after being at tullum most of the day. It was great. better than the Moon Palace. They brought a table in with the food that you could eat at. Like a drop leaf table. Made it more romantic and relaxing since we were there to celebrate our anniversary. That is why we go at this time each year. The second day we were there we had been out and when we returned we had a chocolate cake on the table that was decorated for our anniversary. Champagne and glasses. Didn't get that at the Moon.

The skybar was another treat. Very hot during the day but night was nice and the view was great at night. But you must see it during the day too. You can see all of Cancun.

I read alot about the beach front there. It is small but how much room do you need? We were on it a couple of times and had a good time. We heard they are going to improve it though. Anyone who has second thoughts about staying here well all we can say is go for it and we don't think you will be disapointed. I read so many reviews before making this decision and that is what we did. We wanted to relax from work and all other things in life and that is what we got. My husband even wants to return there and so do I.

Have any questions please fill free to get in touch. Hope all of you have a WONDERFUL time when you go.

After four days at the beautiful La Amada in Puerto Morelos we came here looking for more activities for our family as described in the reviews and website. We spilt our trip according to this. First part relaxation and second part fun and active. Well, what we got was BLAH! And, the guest services personel, Isreal(sp?) responded to my comment of, "I'm bored to death" with, "It's the slow season and most ladies would be happy with this". There literally is nothing to do here! NOTHING! He suggested we pay for a cab and go to Cancun Palace so the kids could play at the kids club since there was NO ONE working the very pitiful one here. We did for the kids sake (1yr & 12 yr.old girls) and they had a great time. Too bad all the reviews before I chose this resort were so favorable I would have stayed at La Amada or booked another Palace resort. He also suggested going to Moon Palace. As for this place..I'm extremely disappointed. I mean, even the food is nothing to write home about. We've been eating nothing but carbs since that seems to be the most appetizing things available. The Italian restaurant had pretty good desserts but the main courses were pretty bad. The lamb was bloody, the arriabata was so spicey it was almost unedible, and chicken carbonara tasted like it was microwaved. Did a foot and leg massage too and that was not worth it either but I'm pretty picky being a therapist myself. I think the guy had a long day and had too many other things on his mind. Was too vigorous, not relaxing at all and pretty mediocre. Then they make you fill out a comment card with your name and room number on it. How many honest responses do you think they'll get? The "romantic" couples massage was nearly $800!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At La Amada for the same thing on the beach for us was only $90 each. Give me a break!! There was NO spot in that hotel that would ever justify paying that much. The spa tour we took was nothing to brag about. Now the staff was pretty great. There are NO complaints there..besides Mr. Isreal(sp?). His attitude was pretty crappy. Didn't go out of his way to make us feel special or accomodate our simple requests. Just made us feel ungrateful and hard to please. I mean, we just wanted to SOMETHING without having to go leave the resort or spend MORE money. He suggested going to La Isa to watch a movie, go bowling at another place....I mean, come on! Again, the entire staff we dealt with directly was very friendly and seemed pretty eager help us out. I'm sure they were bored because there were no more then 5 couples we saw the whole time we were there. Also, as other said before, there is a beach but water is rough. Not for small children unless they are running away from the waves and after noon or so the whole outside pool, beach, and activity areas are shaded. That is a HUGE bummer because it appears that it's imclement weather then and not and sunny out. A real shame! We won't be coming back here again...nor any other Palace resort based on our less then adequate experience here at Beach Palace. It was actually worse then Crown Paradise. Never thought that was possible. Take me back to La Amada!!

From the time we came in the front door the staff here was amazing! We were on our honeymoon and the desk clerk noted our reservation as honeymooners and noticed we were booked for 2 double beds. He offered to move us to a King bedroom and although it was on the Lagoon side of the Hotel he offered to move us to a King Oceanfront room the next day. The next day we were treated like royalty and moved to the most beautiful room facing the ocean. The rooms are as beautiful as the pictures you've seen. The beach was smaller than you might see other places but nonetheless beautiful and enjoyable.
The food was great 99% of the time we were there. Always fresh and the staff would barely let us carry our plates to the table from 1 of the buffet lines. Once or twice the steaks could have been better but everything else made up for it. The Chinese Restaurant "WOK" was outstanding!! Sushi and other dishes were wonderful. We visited 3 other Palace resorts while there and ate there also. The Japanese Hibachi at the Cancun palace was good. The Cancun palace was very big and impersonal. The Moon Palace hotel was too far to go ($50 cab ride round trip), and even more massive and impersonal. the Brazillian restaurant was a terrible experience. They sat us next to a pole by the sliding opening door, even though there were many other tables open. The meat selections were poor. We were expecting better cuts of meat and the finest one they offered was top sirloin. Very disappointing at the Moon Palace.
All in All the Beach Palace was Miles above the other Palace resorts and for the last 3 days of our week we were glad to stay right there !

Palace Resorts have outdone themselves again. We have visited the Moon Palace many times, but tried the Beach Palace for this trip and it was fantastic. You must try the Italian restaurant. It was by far, the best. There was not a lot of nightlife at this hotel when we were there, but it wasn't for lack of trying. The hotel provided excellent entertainment at night, but the sports bar and lounge were constantly empty.

You can take a short 10 minute bus ride into the downtown district to go to Senior Frogs, Coco Bongo, Carlos and Charlie's, etc. The bus ride is under $1 and picks up just outside the hotel. We also took the bus to the Cancun Palace for dinner one night and it was also fantastic. Their Wok restaurant is similar to Benihana's. Excellent food and they also have a great pool with some more activity than we had at our hotel. We spent the day at the pool, went back to our hotel to get ready for dinner and then took the bus back again. There is plenty of time and the buses come every 5 minutes or so.

We also took the trip to Isla Mujures. We have gone before, but this time we hung around the pool at the Palace resort there and rented a golf cart and drove around the island.

BE CAREFUL at the poolside when wet. The concrete floors and ramps are VERY slippery and we all fell at one time or another. ALWAYS wear your shoes when you are walking to the bathrooms or around the pool.
