We stayed at BP Aug 10-16, 2 adults and 3 kids. We all enjoyed our vacation.
First, check in was fairly easy. We arrived before 3:00 and were fully aware that our room might not be ready. We were lucky, after eating lunch our room was ready. We had a "family suite" with 2 connecting rooms. The rooms were spacious for the 5 of us and had a beautiful view.
The information about the kids club is confusing. When we first arrived we thought it closed at 5:00. It wasn't until the next day when we went down that we found out all the ins and outs of the kids club. My kids enjoyed it. They played tons of video games and did crafts. They probably would have enjoyed it more if there was a dedicated time each day to swim. But, they enjoyed walking on the beach and the time they did spend in the pool. They really enjoyed "making" a snack every afternoon! Jimena and Denisse were absolutely wonderful with all 3 of my kids. They took great care of them each day we were there.
My husband and I spent most of our time at the pool. The service was wonderful! Esteban took wonderful care of us. On our anniversary he brought the whole bottle of champagne and orange juice to enjoy our mimosas. He remembered each day what we were drinking. We also spent time at the pool bar. Fernando, Oscar, Pedro, and Felipe were all wonderful! They all kept the drinks flowing each day. My one complaint is that the pool bar closes very early. When people are still in the pool, the bar should be open.
Overall the week was absolutely wonderful! The food at each restaurant was good. We really enjoyed Wok. The only restaurant we didn't enjoy was the outdoor steak restaurant. The rest were all great!! We ordered room service for breakfast most mornings, but when we did go to the buffet for breakfast Gabriela made the best omelets!
My biggest complaint about BP (which really isn't huge) is the elevators. I have to say they really do take forever at certain times of the day. We learned to hop on whether they were going up or down, just to catch one before it filled up. But, if that's the biggest thing wrong, it really was a great trip!
