“Welcome to Paradise!”

This hotel was simply amazing! Its location allows you to walk to stores & clubs. The lagoon view from our room was picturesque, but for those of you who don't mind paying a bit more, the rooms on the opposite side of the hotel are ocean view. The food was great; i strongly recommend Wok, which is their in-house Asian restaurant. The beach was beautiful and clean! Finally, what made Beach Palace really stand out compared to other resorts i have stayed at is their staff. Eduardo and Alfonso made us feel like we were with friends!! They were amazing and always made sure that we were well taken care of; thanks guys and keep it up!

Room Tip: The corner suites have much bigger balconies. Also, if you are willing to spend the extra $$, the oc...

Great hotel, room matsches the pic's on site - reality is even better! Food is delicious, specially the grill outside at the terras. The rooms are very nice, the poolbar is big fun, you can do beach volleyball, zumba dancing at the pool, aerobics in the water, workout in the gym. The shops in La Isla shopping mall are very expensive, but nice area. Whole hotel staff is friendly, specially Juan Carlos who was our waiter at the beach and delivered us the best cocktails. He is very friendly, everything we ask was "no problem", he provided us with the best cocktails and obviously loves his job, great guy!

Room Tip: Seaside and lagoon side are both great!

This was our 15th consecutive spring break trip to Cancun, all of which have been at the Beach Palace (except for the 2 years after Wilma destroyed the old BP). Needless to say, we really enjoy the BP, having been there about 20 times total. This trip was no different….the level of service was exceptional, as always. Although the hotel was filled to capacity, we had no issues at all with dining or seating around the pool, nor with the cleanliness or level of service everywhere on the property. Towels were in short supply on a couple of occasions, but that’s not an issue if you prepare accordingly for that possibility.

Restaurant managers Juan and Jose took very good care of us, Jose going out of his way to make sure we had our favorite wine at every meal. Gina, the day manager set up some extraordinary special meals for us. I celebrated my birthday while there, and she coordinated a meal in the private dining room behind the Wok…..steak and lobster for my wife and I, and grouper and shrimp for our friend Mike who joined us on this trip. We had several special appetizers….sushi, shrimp, and even eel; and multiple deserts, and a birthday cake. A fabulous meal! Other evenings, in Bocelli, our favorite waiter Antonio served us in his consistently excellent manner, and provided us with apples flambé and bananas foster made table-side.
A special mention to some of the people who go above and beyond to always make our stays at BP special….wait staff Rudolpho, Yanet, Yadria, Andres, Victor….bartenders Fidel, Fernando, Zacharias, Miguel (all of them), and all the others. Joshua and his entertainment crew, Lionel the Food & Beverage Manager, the attentive staff of the spa and salon, the front desk, the bellmen, housekeeping…..everyone from top to bottom performed exceptionally.

And of course….there’s Gabriella, the sweetest lady on the planet this side of my dear departed Grandmother. She does the work of three people, and makes my omelet with skill, humor and a level of efficiency that amazes me each morning. She’s one of the first people we go to say hello to when we check in, and greets us with a hug and a kiss and the warmth of a true friend. It such a joy to be greeted each morning by her smiling face! Luis, my friend….whatever you pay her – it’s not nearly enough.

And of course, the people who lead this fine staff….General Manager Luis Ojeda, PR Manager Efren Beltran and his Assistant Manager Norma Martinez. They welcome us back each visit and always go out of their way to insure our stay is as perfect as it can possibly be.

We just returned from spending a week at the Beach Palace in Cancun. I have to give this hotel excellent for its service. The entire staff did everything they could do to make your experience unbelievable. Thumbs up to Luis and Julio. They some how became our favorites! Keep up the excellent service. It was a pleasure to stay there.

This resort is fabulous. The most amazing service imaginable, especially Yadiira, poolside. We were never wanting for anything.
We were most impressed with the awesome service, beautiful surroundings. Paradise!
Incredibly clean. Don't miss Bocelli, the Italian Restaurant.

Room Tip: We were in 1218 and it was wonderful! 12 is the top floor, beautiful view!

We spent Easter week at Beach Palace with our two sons age 11 & 14. Overall, the majority of the reviews are correct.....great beach, wonderful staff, clean spacious rooms, etc. A couple of observations that you may find helpful:
1. We were on the 12th floor with a room facing the lagoon. Of course we would have preferred an ocean view, but there was really nothing wrong with a lagoon view. Best part was that the balcony had sun all afternoon as opposed to the pool area that was in the shade after the sun went over the hotel. I would agree with other reviews that you should make sure your room is as far away from the elavators as you can get....the halls are tiled and echo and the doors let in a lot of sound. Our room was behind the elavators, which was fine - no noise at all.
2. Our kids had fun....but there really isn't anything for pre-teens or teens to do at this resort that is unique for them. As I said, they had a good time in the pools, on the beach and even playing pool in the sports bar, but it would have been nice to have some activities geared specifically to those age groups so they could at least easily make friends with others their own age.
3. If you have kids, I highly recommend taking the shuttle over to Moon Palace for the "flow-rider"....my kids spent an entire day on that thing!
4. We did take and exchange about $100 to use for tips.....it was nice to reward really good service, but it really isn't needed......we experienced the same great level of service regardless if we tipped or not.
5. Simply say "no" to request to attend the time share presentation on day 1 and they leave you alone. This is our 4th trip to a palace resort....we have always said no thank you, and have always been left alone after that. String them along, give them a "maybe" or not respond to their request, and they are all over you.
6. As many people have said, the food is good.....even really good occasionally. But...if you are staying there for a week, you may find yourself needing to go out of the hotel for a meal or two....with only a couple of restaurants it can get repetitive.
7. The beach/pool chair game is annoying.....my husband had to go down by 6 AM every day to hold chairs for us. One family even brought their own laminated name cards that they printed and pinned them to the chairs they wanted daily. Really wish that the resort would not allow anyone to hold chairs. I can't tell you how many chairs we saw go unused because no one ever came out to use them......all while other people went without. Really this is the one flaw of the resort.
8. Resort credits. We didn't really use them. I had one spa treatment. Since this was our 4th time to a palace resort we were familiar with the credit game. If there was something on the credit list that I really wanted, I probably would have spent more energy on them, but too many people spend too much time trying to use up their credits (even though they have to pay tax on it!).
All in all we had a great week. Bon Voyage!
