“The nicest hotel we stayed at in cancun!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013 via mobile

We stayed at this hotel from February 2 nd thru the 12th, I cannot emphasize and say how pleased we were with all the staff there! They were very helpful and so sincere, we just felt so comfortable and felt like we were treated like royalty! I have two kids one that is 4 and another that is 11. My oldest was hesitant in going to the kids club they have, by the way kids club is included at no extra fee. After the first visit my kids did not want to leave! They had planned activities for them from making their own pizzas to cookies, crafts , had piñata party for them .. The staff there. Karen and Denise were superb! They were wonderful! My kids fell in love with them and they were sad when we had to go since they made two new friends:)
The pools were clean and wonderful And you would always be asked by their employees if you needed any drinks or food.. They have a pool on top of their roof so when it would get cooler in the evening we would use the pool on the roof. Their pools were all heated so they were comfortable to be in! The pool on the rooftop had a 360 degree view where we would watch the sunset and it would shield us from any wind.. I was sad when we had to leave and we would definitely come back to this hotel!!!

Not sure if the last one posted...but I want to make sure people who are contemplating the Beach Palace really understand that there is an amazing beach in front of the resort with a warm ocean with crystal blue water.

The best part of our vacation has been the time we have spent at the beach relaxing in the sun on the beach beds. Eduardo -our beach/pool waiter is fantastic. We are getting the service we are used to getting at a 5 star resort. Eduardo keeps the drinks coming and is very attentive to our needs. Eduardo's service is A+! Thanks Eduardo for keeping us hydrated and making sure our needs were taken care of.

Room Tip: 408 rocks! Fantastic view of the ocean and great sounds of the ocean in our room.

the service, food and staff are excellent. The beach and pool areas are clean and comfortable. This was our 5th trip to a Palace resort and this was the best for food and service of all of them. The spa is not as nice or as large as the Moon Palace but the overall service at this resort makes up for what it lacks in size.

Beach Palace overall was a very good experience. The location is execellent and convenient to shopping and American style restaurants such Bubba Gump's, Planet Hollywood, Outback Steakhouse, McDonald's. The Beach Palace Resort restaurants (in my opinion) were Bocelli's (very good Fillet Mignon) and the WOK (very good Orientaldishes). The Tequiila (Mexican Buffet) had a good breakfast variety, but the lunch and dinner selections were just O.K. I tried a cheese burger twice and a hot dog once...the buns were so stale that they just fell to pieces the first bite...I ate the meat and left the rest of the bun...in fact, the rolls and bagels were also stale (can't quite figure out why). There seemed to have been a "smell" coming from the shower drain. The pools and bars were very good...the beach was excellent with beautiful aquamarine colored water and bright white sand. Service mploees and attendants were excellent and very helpful.

Room Tip: Lagoon View rooms (above the 5th floor) have beautiful sunset views and lots of activity to observe...

Dollar for dollar one of the best places I have visited. I was a little concerned about cancun since my wife has never been there regarding getting sick and true to form, she did. People at beach palace were amazing with special shout out to a waitress named Magali. She remembered my name and was very attentive to us. A real value for a 4 day vacation when time is precious. I also enjoyed the bartender who teamed up with Magali. His name was Alexis. Great service and great people. My only critique of beach palace is the food. For a pay one price all inclusive, I guess this works, but being from nj/ny, our food standards are high.

Overall a great experience. And I would come here again.

Room Tip: Great rooms and very clean!

We went as a family of 4 (with kids ages 2 and 4) and with another couple with kids similar ages. We chose this place after reading reviews of the kiddie pool and kid area. In addition, we are vegetarian, so food options were important as well.

Overall, we had a great time. The one big misconception we had going into this hotel was that it was an "all-inclusive RESORT". It was all inclusive, but it was not a typical expansive resort which we thought we were going to. We have been to other all inclusive resorts, which felt like true resorts. They have acres with multiple sections with different dining options. The basic description of this place would be: main building, behind which there is a average size main pool, with adjacent smaller pools and kiddie pools. Standard stuff. There is a single twirly slide in one of the side pools, and thats about it. Beyond that the beach associated with the hotel is nice. They have chairs and umbrellas set aside, which is nice.

We did take a day trip excursion by taking the free shuttle to the sister resort, Moon Palace, which is HUGE and felt like a real resort. The big problem everyone says is that the beach is full of seaweed and not usable. Other than that, the Moon Palace grounds and kid area are much better than those at Beach Palace.

Lets see, what other information would be helpful to you. Service was excellent. 90% of the staff are exceedingly nice, and the rest are nice enough. No matter what you ask, they bend over backwards to get it for you or make you happy. We loved this part of the place.

The rooms were spacious and nice. Few problems we didn't like was that it took about 20 minutes of running the water before we got any hot water. Along those lines, the pools are pretty cold. It would be nice to have heated pools, but guess not.

From the entertainment perspective, there is a nightly show/event, which is okay. There was one Michael Jackson concert they put on which was great.

Food itself and selection was outstanding. Even for us vegetarians.

Finally, you get a resort credit depending on how long you stay. This "credit" is up to $1500. Of course, that is not a real $1500. The options you get for that credit do not amount to a real $1500. We took photos along the beach for $500 resort credit. It was a 30 minute session. you get 5 photos at the end. Of course you have to pay an 11% tax which is not covered by resort credit. So you basically still overpay for those services by payingfor that tax. Whatever. Just know that when you go in.

The other big thing was that if you do happen to get a "family suite" set up, where they give you two adjoining rooms, know that only ONE of the rooms as a resort credit attached to it. So if you use your resort credits, give the room that has the credits (usually the adult room, or king bedroom). Or, find out which room has the credits. As I was checking out, they tell me I have a huge bill to pay because the "included" spa massage was not charged to the right room. Luckily, their service stepped up and corrected the situation before we missed our bus.

We are not the type of folks who likes to go to the same place 10 times because we like to see what is out there. Would I go back there again, probably not. But do I recommend the place, yes. Maybe Moon Palace might be better depending on what you're looking for.

Have fun.
