We just returned from a week long stay. I was not overly impressed. The room itself suited its purpose. The bed was comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. The bath products adequate. If you need hair conditioner you will need to bring your own as it is not provided. The towels were scratchy but got the job done. The sitting area is small but it suited us just fine. Norma our housekeeper did a wonderful job keeping our room clean.

There is a mini fridge in the room. It is not stocked. There is water and coffee in the room. I have stayed at other resorts and was shocked that the fridge was not stocked. Would it really be that hard for Club Med to put some beer, water and soda in the fridge? It would have been nice to be able to have a cold drink of water when we entered our room but you have to turn the fridge on when you arrive. They want to be green and that is fine, but if I decide that I want to use the fridge then they should stock it.

The food at the buffet was average. I am not a "foodie" but I do expect decent food at a resort. There was a lot of repetition from meal to meal. I did eat at the specialty restaurants and should have made reservations every night. Another thing I would like to add is that you can't get something to eat all of the time. I grew very tired of waiting for something to open.

The bars at the resort keep certain hours. The bar by the pool and ocean should open earlier and stay open later. If you do have a drink by the pool be sure to ask Alfredo to make his specialty drink. It is quite good.

I went snorkeling and enjoyed it. The beach is very rocky so be careful. I did not water ski or windsurf. I was told that alligators (or perhaps it was crocodiles) are in the lagoon. I was also told that they have never had any issues with them. I say why tempt fate? Just because they have never had a problem does not diminish the fact deadly creatures are lurking in the water.

I went to the circus and enjoyed the show. The performers work very hard and have perfected their art. Speaking of shows, the theater has ceiling fans which do not adequately cool the room. I went to a show and it was like sitting in a sauna. Once was enough.

The ocean was breathtaking. The staff keep the beach very clean. It was nice to be able to sit under a cabana and take it all in. The water was cool but very refreshing. Be sure to put on sunscreen as it is very easy to get sunburn.

The pool was nice. I enjoyed lounging in the pool. The water was warm and it was great to be able to take an evening dip.

I set my expectations too high with Club Med. I was at an Iberostar resort in February and hands down it was much nicer. I will not return to Club Med Cancun. I don't think I will go to any Club Med again. For my money I spent I expect more.

I had read all these reviews (skeptical and positive) so I was telling myself not to expect luxry however that is what I got. I came with my husband 2 daughters and son. And got a room that over looked the lagoon (which is beautiful) everyone was happy. My daughters both made friends at "mini club med" and "carwash" which you can opt to go to lets say water skiing and then not go to the next activity. HOWEVER YOU CANNOT GO WATERSKIING IF YOU ARENT 12 one of my daughters went and she wasn't twelve and they didn't really care but the second time they called the front desk checked her age and didn't let her go. I encourage all viewers of this who go to club med to do the trapize it's very fun for all ages. The food was incredible at the buffet and the steak house however the mexican restaurant wasn't appealing to anyone in my family but I strongly advise you to go to club med

I just spend a week here in April, 2012. It was my 8th time to Mexico. This resort was by far the best! We paid a little extra and stayed in the Jade Building which was definitely worth it for use of the private pool. The buffet restaurant was excellent. The steakhouse restaurant was also very good but the seafood restaurant definitely left something to be desired. This place is "all-inclusive" for real and the staff does not expect tips for every little thing they do. The beaches around the resort were the most amazing I have ever seen in Mexico. In addition, all staff went out of their way to be helpful and genuinely cared about their guests. The rooms were also very nice, bed comfortable and the room had a nice sized balcony. Overall, i would give this place a 9.5 out of 10. Highly recommend it!!

This was our second stay in 2 years. Things have gotten even better since our last visit 2 years ago. Live music is definitely a nice touch. The food is superb, children's activities are sans pareil.
Eduardo was everywhere. This man does not sleep! Also, Alyn, the children's club manager is a wonderful, compassionate human being! Rooms are clean, everything works the way it should. Staff is friendly and professional. The catamaran crew, JC and others are all top notch. Boats are kept in fine shape. The only thing that might need improvement, is to add wi-fi in all the guest-rooms. These days to keep in touch with family members and friends who stayed behind, internet is the preferred way of communication.
Club Med Yucatan, we will visit you again, for sure!
