Our third excellent visit to the RC Cancun. There's just something about the fragrance, the gracefulness, and the slight formality of this place that really trips my trigger. One really doesn't need much more luxury than is offered at this place, IMHO. We booked a "Reconnect" rate that included breakfast buffet and a $100 per day resort credit and managed to checkout paying only the base rate (I don't drink and my partner only had 2-3 a day). We took full advantage of the sumptuous breakfast buffet, had lunches by the pool, and chose from the more modest menus at dinner time. We ordered all the food we needed and tipped well. We had one or two dinners off-property.

And a word of praise to one particular staff member - Chrystian at the front desk! I'm embarrassed to admit publicly that we were two steps inside Cancun airport for departure when I realized I'd left my carry on bag in the taxi. (I know, 35 years of travel and I've never done anything so stupid) A woman at the airport information desk very kindly dialed the Ritz for me and I asked to speak to the front desk, wondering if I'd left the bag there or in the cab. Chrystian put me on hold and was able to contact the taxi driver by cell phone, who found my bag on the backseat and returned directly to the hotel! Wow - talk about saving me from my own stupidity.

I recently stayed at the Ritz Cancun for about a week with a few of my friends. Overall the service and accommodations were fantastic and everything you'd expect from a Ritz Carlton. Hands down my favorite thing was coming to my hotel room after a night out at the bars or the beach and finding the room sparkling clean, the lights dimly lit, and the relaxing music of the Coral Channel serenading me in the background. I get relaxed just thinking about it.

The hotel staff were exceptionally nice and made me feel like I was staying with friends. The food was actually quite amazing as well at each of the restaurants - something I hadn't expected. Plus, the private beach and amazing pool were very relaxing after a day of adventuring.

The staff at this hotel was great, as you would expect with a Ritz Carlton. Our room was casually elegant and featured a great terrace overlooking the beautiful pool. We had a nice welcome amenity with Corona's and salsa waiting for us upon arrival which we greatly appreciated.
Negatives: We had the seafood buffet for dinner one night and it was rather pricey! I think our total came to $160 for two people. Food was good and lots of choices but still STEEP for a buffet! Other negative, their beach was not as wide as some other resorts in Cancun.
We only stayed one night, and moved onto another hotel to attend a conference.
I would stay again for longer.

The Ritz Carlton Cancun was fantastic.

Service was wonderful. The staff is obviously very well trained. I was always greeted with a smile. Any request was cheerfully greeted with "It's our pleasure sir".

We dined at several of the restaurants during our stay. All were good except for the Club Grille which was truly outstanding, a fantastic meal.

The pool is quite nice. Never a problem getting a chair. The pool attendants were very quick to grab towels and set out a chair for you. Never a problem getting food or drink poolside. Service was readily available but not intrusive.

My wife used the spa twice for massages and was quite pleased.
Fitness center is clean and all the equipment is well maintained.

Housekeeping at the hotel was very good. No problems noted. The common areas of the hotel were always spotless, never a hair out of place. I was truly impressed by the cleanliness.

Overall, I will go back. This was truly a 5 star experience.

Is stayed in this hotel in December for business.

Things started well - our transfer from the airport was very easy (arranged through the hotel) and on the way to the hotel our driver was very chatty (in Spanish!) and told us a lot about the resort, the local area and things to do.

Upon arrival at the resort I fell in love with the Christmas decorations! The lobby looked fantastic. We were quickly shown to our rooms. I had a ginormous bed, and incredible views of the ocean. We were greeted with fruit plates in our rooms, which was a lovely touch.

Bare in mind that you have to pay for bottled water in your rooms - which is not unusual, but something to be noted.

The resort is stunning, definitely one of the more attractive hotels along the 'hotel zone' strip in Cancun.

The beach, although small, has bright white sand and the sea is beautifully turquoise, although the waves are quite large and current is quite strong so be careful!

The beachfront/poolside staff were very helpful and came to lay out your towels as they saw you were approaching a beach lounger. You could also order drinks and food directly from your lounger.

There are two pools that I discovered, both very warm! And a good hot tub - a great place to watch the sunrise from!

I think it is worth going to this hotel purely for the breakfasts! They were some of the best breakfasts I have ever had in hotels, and I could not have asked for more. I loved the buffet and day after day put scrambled eggs on the same plate as refried beans, I am sure the staff were looking at me bemusedly, however I simply couldn't decide between full English or the Mexican breakfast, it was all too good!

Lunch and dinners didn't disappoint either, and we ordered roomservice on a couple of occasions, which was always served with a smile.

The staff here were all brilliant, from the concierge to the waiting staff, no one was ever too busy to help you, which I feel is a great compliment.

Once again a Ritz Carlton has met, and surpassed my expectations, and I would definitely recommend this hotel, if you were going to be in Cancun.
