Go there to bungee jump, or watch others bungee jump. Or just rent a jetski or boat or take the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Also has good bars and lots of entertainment.
The Ferry boat ride, about thirty minutes to the Island was fun.
Swam at a nice lagoon beach. rented gold cart to drive around
the island/. Town quaint, colorful. Great lunch and a lot of fun.
The only reason to go to this beach is the lack of waves, and if you're looking for that you should just continue your journey to Isla mujeres.
Seaweed everywhere, but the worst part is that beach is very small. You also can't go very far into the water (can you anywhere in cancun?) because there's so much activity going on. You know what? the activity is actually the worst part. You will be hounded and harassed everywhere on this tiny beach. Either go to isla mujeres for water you can actually enjoy or playa delphines for a serene beach.
Some things I read before going here led me to believe this was an awesome beach to hang out/ swim. The concierge at the hotel gave me a funny look when I said we wanted to go here and said it is full of boats. She was right. The beach itself is smallish and the view is a large dock. If you're looking to get to Isla Muejeres, this is where you go, but if you want a beach to relax and hang out on- go toward cancun a little more at the entrance of casa maya or towards the hotel zone with a variety of other options.
We went para-sailing here and people were like jumping down are throats trying to get us to buy crap. It cost like $1 to go to the bathroom here too lol. Para-sailing was pretty fun except for the man begging for a tip at the end.
