“nice restaurant but overpriced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Sasi is an elegant Thai restaurant with beautiful outdoor seating. Service was first rate and the food was very good. Way overpriced, but it's Cancun.

“Decent ambience, somewhat pricey, food was so-so (some good, some not so good)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

I had dinner with my boyfriend at Sasi Thai at the end of a two week trip to Mexico and would give this restaurant an average rating. The restaurant itself was nice although the night we were there it was a bit windy; the thatched roof was a nice touch. The service however was slow - we had almost finished our bottle of wine by the time the entrees arrived - and the food on average was just okay. The vegetarian spring rolls were tasty as was beef strips with cucumber peanut salad, but the Phad Thai with Tofu didn't taste authentic at all, in fact I could have sworn the sauce came from a jar from the grocery store. The Khao Pad with chicken was okay, but nothing special. If we just had the appetizers we would have been pleased, but for the $ for the entrees, it wasn't worth it.

“Outdoor fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

The restaurant is located right outside the casa magna mariott. It has grass thatched roofed pavilions and a very nice traditional Thai menu (American adapted)

“Just so/so”

Nothing special, decent atmosphere. It was okay, but I would not make a special visit to go there. You can get cheaper Thai when you are home!

“Valentine's Delight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

We watched the sunset from our table, enjoyed pina coladas, wine, Sasi appetizer sampler, satays of different meats, fried rice w/shrimp, and a phad thai. We extended the pleasant dinner by having dessert, creme brulee (mango), expresso and American coffee. It obviously was an all-Thai dinner, but it was what we wanted off the menu! The best part of the dinner was the ambience and the wonderful service we received. Boy, were we pampered.
