“Nice course”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014 via mobile

This was the second course I had to endure as a rider, due to a back issue I could not play. Course was in good shape and very enjoyable so I was told :) We had finished 9 holes and had to go back to the club house cause we had yet to see beverage cart and were quite hot and needed water, no ice even in cooler. Upon return to club house we were asked if everything was ok and replied we needed to get drinks and we were asked if we had seen the cart. They did call immediately to have cart meet us on the back 9, Mary was very nice. Selection on cart was very limited, from cups of Gatorade to snacks they had packaged themselves but it was included. Golf was good, course about 20 minutes out of hotel zone, taxi about $22 each way. Riders, just a thought, you might consider staying at the beach not really worth $35 you will be charged.

“Great golf facility ... as long as it doesn't rain before”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

This was my second time at Riviera, the first time, we had to skip 3 holes because of flooding and water damage from heavy rain fall. The course is challenging, and in very good shape. The staff is amazing, and I highly recommend playing the course. Just make sure that all the holes are open before booking a tee time, and book directly with the course, they offer transportation, cart, food and drinks ....

“Nice course, lots of water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014

Overall a very nice course, main difficulty is that it is built in a mangrove, so if you are not in fairway, chances are you are in the water, service from beverage cart was very good and friendly.
Club house was a bit drab (empty and devoid of life). There is nothing else there but the golf course. Check/negotiate your return transportation time with course or hotel, if you have to spend 2 hours there waiting there is not much to do.
If they had a pool (like at Moon Palace golf course) it would actually be a nice place to sit while enjoying a few margaritas).
Did not see any crocodiles even though there are signs.

“The Greens Run True At This Course”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

We golf 14 days when we are in Cancun and we usually golf this course twice on our holidays.
Once per week. The course is really nice and well kept and the greens run true.
They offer a $20 a day all inclusive for beverages and food but I don't recommend it. They control the amount you get and the times they come around to you. We spent $80 for our group of 4 and the coffee was cold and terrible. Their cart wasn't running very often etc and among the four of us we got about $20 worth of junk. That was the only part that wasn't impressive. The next time we went which was the next week we told the golf shop when he wanted to sell it again and he did nothing.
The course is a little tight and lots of water. A very enjoyable course!
