Description: We are an operator of restaurants we admire the culture, customs and this land, its people and their way of being. In our restaurant you can enjoy genuine dishes, an interesting atmosphere and service with typical warmth of our race. In addition to the flavor of these exotic lands, home to one of the most amazing civilizations of mankind, that for more than 10,000 years ago populate this region and hunting, gathering and agriculture learned to survive giving rise to a unique cuisine that many years later with the influence and contributions of conquerors modern cuisine that is admired is created. We work with the emerging recipes "vox populi" ie the housewives, from every corner of the peninsula, from which arise the different dishes with different ingredients and flavors.

We were really looking forward to this place. Cactus salad was horrible. Mole sauce tasteless. Nice walk through nearby park having Easter festival afterwards.

“Great food, server a bit too pushy.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Went there by myself to try Cochinita Pibill. THe server insisted in me getting a certain soup that is a staple to over here. And I tried it and it was really good, actually more than good. If you had ever had Pho it kind of resembles it with a bit int he taste and heavy aromatic herbs. The Cochinita was good but not as good as others I have tried, in fact pork meat is dry but this one was really dry.The horchata was quite good but dessert was disapointing. The prices are a bit high, for a meal for one including tip was aroun $250 pesos. In my opinion an OK place but not a must visit.

“off the beaten path & well worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

a bit hard to find.. and the map on my iphone was a couple of blocks off -- the restaurant is just steps from the Plaza de Palapas.
Ambience very nice, food was exceptional. The green salsa is burning hot, but with a flavor neither of us could resist - each time our mouths recovered, we had to have it and start the "burning and recovery" all over again.

Started dinner with the recommended papadzules (hard boiled eggs wrapped in tortillas, covered with a pumpkin sauce) which was different, but not so much to our taste. The other appetizers, mini tostadas of shredded pork with marinated red onions was amazing! for entrees, we shared an order of poc chuc (the deluxe, with additional side dishes) with an incredible flavor! Dessert was white pudding with Mayan coffee (prepared tableside).

loved the decor! food was excellent, and the mayan menu offers very flavorful dishes at attractive prices.
Definitely on our list for a return visit.

“Most interesting meal in Cancun.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

I was interested in Labna upon researching because they had a more traditional Mayan menu. Although not my favorite food, it was by far my most memorable mean in Cancun for trying different food. The service was good and the servers took time to explain some of the menu. Overall, a very interesting experience with good food that I would recommend.

“really good Local fare”

This place serves the local Yucatecan cuisine which is a tad heavy, but totally delicious. I liked their lunch buffet.
