My girlfriend and I decided to book a table here for her birthday, we booked whilst still at home in the UK before we arrived in cancun for a 2 week holiday. Upon arrival at the Ritz Carlton Hotel we were seated in the main bar area for a pre drink. When our table was ready we were escorted to the resturant, we were simply blown away by the sheer elegance of the room with chandlers, pianist who played threw out the evening and not forgetting our table that was decorated with rose petals as a nice gesture to my girlfriends birthday. The service was second to none in every way. Now to the food! From start to finish the level of cooking was to the highest order, wonderful home backed breads, pan fried veal foie gras, delicious Parmesan soup with ravioli, two wonderful Amuse- bouche,filet mignon cooked to perfection, all washed down with wonderful wine. Anyone who says that food like this is just a picture on a plate and is not filling must dine at resturants that just cook usual food and serve small portions because even though the food served here is slight it is so so rich that when eaten properly and taken time to enjoy every mouthful you will certainly feel full as we were as we could not manage a desert! Saying that the pianist who I mentioned at the beginning suddenly played Happy Birthday and with that the waiter brought out a special desert for my girlfriends birthday on a plate with a lovely greeting and a single candle and everyone including the other diners clapped, a very nice little touch and end to the evening which was a lovely 3 hours of pure elegance and sheer indulgents. Very Very memorable.
