Nice change from the regular Mexican food. Interesting slant on classic dishes in an elegant atmosphere. Not very expensive.

“Delicious food and wine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We like this place so much that we had dinner here on 3 separate nights, including New Year's.

The food is excellent; the young Mexican chef has won many awards. The wine list is also excellent; it's all Mexican wines and the sommelier, Gabriel, is both knowledgeable and really nice. Overall, the service is wonderful.

They also have very pleasant live music (guitarists) which makes it a lovely experience.

You should eat here at least once if you're in San Cristobal, just keep in mind that it's a bit pricey.

“Mexican with panache”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

We took others advice in trying this hotel restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. We were pleasantly surprised by old standbys presented with an updated approach. The Quesadilitis were made with a light fluffy almost sweet Cheese accompanied by a delicious chooped tomato " chutney"
The salad a combination of Apples Pears Spinach accompanied by a honey fruit marmalade dressing was fresh crisp and yummy.
The entree of regional tamales was a picturesque melange of color and taste each type having a unique sauce.
Wine list was adequate with a selection of Valle de Guadalupe boutique vineyards ( I've fallen for the Nuevo winemaking of this Ensenada Baja region particularly he original blends not seen anywhere else)

All in all great evening wonderful service and quite reasonable

“Great chef, but needs improvement in time”

Nice presentation of each plate, entrees and in general, but if you are hungry look somewhere else: they are really slow to serve your food.

“Repetitious”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

It is a fusion style restaurant in a Hotel. The place itself is modern and clean, but, I found the same ingredients being repeatedly used in most of the dishes I sampled. Being a region rich in culinary tradition, I found this not appealing.
