“Solid hostel in good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

Great staff (and hostel dogs!) in a pretty sweet location - 5min walk from the centre. Beautiful courtyard and plenty of places to chill - hammocks, benches, etc. Our private room was good and had comfy beds but the lighting was ordinary. Just one of those gross energy saver bulbs. Hospital lighting. Included breakfast was nothing special but better than nothing. Maybe a little on the pricey side but I'd say worth it. Was a very easy and enjoyable place to stay.

Had an amazing time here, people from reception was very friendly and helpful, full breakfast provided which was an amazing plus, close from everything downtown, nice vibe, hammocks for those sunny lazy days, fireplace for those cold nights, better than my home away from home...
Definitely recommend this hostel.

Nice hostel in a beautiful old house near the main square. Only two bad things:
1. Private rooms are cold and have really thin walls, you could even hear breathing in the next room, so it was not that "private".
2. Tours they offer are expensive compare to other tour providers in town.
It was a nice stay overall

The Team was friendly, we took tours from the hostel and it was great. The place very clean and quiet.
The price is too high for hostel, we slept at privet room, and the breakfast is the minimum.
We recommend this hostel.

We stayed at Las Palomas hostel for 4 nights total (the last one being more or less out of inconvenience as the bus to Palenque got cancelled) and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and helpful, it's very clean, the breakfast is good and you really get your money's worth! We had booked through hostelbookers and payed USD 7.5 per person/night in a private room with a shared bathroom which is totally fine.
The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use. There's a lot of fruit and pancakes for breakfast.
Staff also gives advice on where to go to eat, towels are available for rent. The courtyard is a great place to hang out and play with the dogs that hang out around here.
There's also a free bike you can use :-)
It's very centrally located and easy to find.
Only cons: laundry is comparatively expensive, you can do it for a lot less if you go to a different laundry service (but then again, you have to carry all your stuff back to the hostel!) that only charges 11 Pesos/kilo. Also, if you have to use the bathroom early in the morning - beware of what the dogs left behind during the night!

We would come back any time :)

Room Tip: Private room is only USD 1 more instead of a dorm, so if you would like some privacy it's totall...
