The hotel was charming and the staff went out of their way to help us with dinner recommendations, reservations and private tours. Breakfast was served in the inside patio with a complete buffet of a variety of Mexican dishes or else an American Breakfast of fresh fruit, delicious o.j., cereals, or eggs to order. The coffee could be improved upon. We did upgrade to a Junior Suite for some of the rooms were small and dark and since we were planning to be in Oaxaca ten days, it was well worth it... I would recommend staying on the second floor away from the street. The rooms were very well maintained...the pillows were of excellent quality and the linens and large bath towels were what one would expect in a first class hotel but a bit worn. The location could not have been more convenient for we walked everywhere both day and night.
