My boyfriend and I stayed at Casa Bonita during the day of the dead week. The Hotel was a 12 min taxi ride to the city center (a 50 pesos taxi ride) The hotel was okay, the decor is VERY outdated and the carpet in our room was stainned. The front desk clerk went out of her way to help us with figuring out how to get around the state of Oaxaca and when to go where to get the most out of the day of the dead festivities. Breakfast is included and it was very good. The only negative comments I have are that the maids (who cleaned the rooms impeccably) left our bedroom unlocked after cleaning one day and our safe did not work properly. But nothing went missing.
