“Good casual local restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012 via mobile

We wanted a casual dinner with wine on a Saturday night after a large lunch and were very impressed with the quality of the food. The service was good. The atmosphere was authentic Oaxacan - we were the only touristas there. Our only misgiving was the presence of a large screen Tv, which we, like most other patrons, managed to ignore. As we were leaving live music began in an adjacent room, which was appealing, but we had to leave.

“Good place to eat on my 1st night in Oaxaca”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012 via mobile

Drove down from San Miguel de Allende and wanted a place close by to eat. Used trip advisor to find.
I ordered a margarita but the waiter had a perplexed look and 10 min later still did not had one so changed to a beer. (Maybe language barrier) had a chorisso and cheese quesidila, was pretty good. Was a quiet night but locals were eating there so a good sign. Had to ask for chips and salsa but other than that a good 1st night meal in Oaxaca.

“Delicious and reasonably priced”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012 via mobile

A small place located a bit off the main drag. The service was very good and the food fresh and excellent. The pozole was very good. But you should order the black mole. It is amazing.

“Best salads in Oaxaca!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2012

Don Juanitos is my favorite restaurant in Oaxaca and I have been here for over 3 months! They have great Mexican food, but if you need some more veggies in your diet, their salads are incredible!
