Casual restaurant at the top of Macedonio Alcala, maybe a 5 minute walk up the hill from the Santo Domingo church. The pizza is very good (and they sell individual slices from a window beside their pizza oven), and prices are too very good – much lower than other pizzerias I saw. Their drinks too are quite good (ask for a Mescal margarita – yum). This is a mom and pop style simple Italian restaurant with low prices – a great place if you are tiring of Oaxacan food or travelling on a budget. While I also ate at the more upscale Vieja Lira pizzeria, I definitely prefer the simpler, cheaper, warmer and more fun Rustica.
