Tucked away on the second floor by the Hilton, Casa Avila is a find... great ambiance away from the frenzy of the airport. Bread, sliced radishes and a nice green chile/avocado dip arrived at the table, and the waiter suggested a half bottle of Chilean Merlot. Good start. We shared the Mediterranean Salad - a tasty salad with figs, ham, apple slices, black olives and tomatoes, then decided on the Paella and Shrimps with Black Rice. Both were delicious. The Black Rice is in a timbale surrounded with grilled prawns wrapped in bacon on an asparagus cream sauce, and the Paella has a prawn, pork, spanish sausage, chicken, mussels and clams. The dessert tray looked fantastic but we were too full to indulge.
