“Business Trip - Great Hotel - Bad Front Desk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

Overall a great hotel and great experience. But I booked through getaroom.com and for some reason they weren't getting the funds from them and they wanted to charge me directly and have me just contact getaroom to get a refund.

I was not having any of that nonsense and told them that's between them and getaroom. They were quite insistent and would not provide me a manager to speak to until I had to cause a little bit of a scene for them to give me a zero receipt and let me on my way.

The location is great if you are going to do business or stay in that area in Mexico City. The hotel is nice. The room average size, clean, and nice bathroom. You can walk to shopping center and many restaurants. The only problem I saw was this hotel caters to very large group of people (conventions) so if you are traveling solo it is not the right choice.

The NH is a great place to stay in Santa Fe, if you are looking to do tourism in Mexico City I will recommend to stay in Polanco on in other area, but if you are going to move around the Sta Fe area, this is a great option.
the Rooms has a good amount of space, there are many restaurant near (walking distance).

This is convenient if you have business in any of the surrounding office towers, amd don't wish to spend much time in your room, but there are also several other hotels on the same street, within a few meters that offer more amenities, more space, a better experience, or all three. This is definitely not one of the better NH units. The rooms are rather small. The Internet is slow. The desk was small. The television screen was very small (like from the 1990s). Lots of comparable hotels actually have big screen televisions now so that when you are sitting on the bed, you can actually see a picture across the room. Parking is not easy, valet parking service is slow. There are two restaurants that are immediately in front, including La Mansion (upstairs). There is a Which Wich and a Panda Express across the street, The Palm and Au Pied de Cochon ate in the Intercontinental across the street and slightly to the east, Ginos's is slightly to the east on the same street, and there are many more within a very short radius. This is just as good because the hotel food is rather mediocre. Local residents commented that the NH used to have a good chef and good food, but that he left and with him went the good food as well. Within a few minutes walk is Mexico's largest shopping center with four major department stores and hundreds of specialty stores, Centro Santa Fe.

First of all, if you can avoid staying in Santa Fe you should; it's well out of the way is difficult to get in and out of. The hotel isn't bad: it wont wow you, but it wont knock you off your feet either. The rooms are comfortable and the service is ok, but there is little wow factor.

I travel to Mexico city often and this is a great place to stay. Staff is very pleasant and always willing to help. Food is excellent and I never find myself having to leave the hotel to eat. I recommend to anyone traveling to Santa Fe!

This was my 3rd stay at this location and i must say that each time i've stayed over the past 2 years the standard of service has remained a constant high, which coupled with a great restaurant area and one of the best NH breakfasts i've had makes this a great choice for my business trips and a solid recommendation for fellow travellers to this part of the city.
