“Clean nice rooms, worst internet service ever”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

The rooms are clean and nice, with fairly modern looking furniture. The only problem is that the A/C unit is too noisy, but fortunately the climate is good enough that I could turn it off and still sleep comfortably.

The service in the restaurant is not too good. I waited about 20 minutes for a single scrambled egg, and they brought the check before they gave me my food... and when the order arrived it was wrong.

The internet access is incredibly unreliable. The worse I have ever experienced in a hotel. Everyone else in the group that I was traveling with experienced the same terrible internet service that I did, with various devices (android phones, iphones, ipads, and laptops... they all complained of the terrible connection).

If your travel is for business and you depend on internet connectivity, avoid this hotel. Otherwise, it is a good value for money.

Room Tip: Make sure you request a room that has no connecting door to another one... to avoid noise from the o...

I stayed twice in september 2012. The hotel in general and the rooms were perfect for business purpose, front desk service very friendly. The only issue was the food: Cold breakfast in room, bad atention during breakfast buffet, poor food quality for dinner.

Excellent value, wonderful & super fresh and very extended international breakfast buffet (cost only around $12 per person!, and if you American Airline advantage number then is free!! temrorary promotion, but check when check -in if is still on)
Service is promt, location is very safe, surrounded with many restaurants, .... is the place to stay if you visiting DF

Room Tip: ask current promotions when check-in

Breakfast is reasonable, service in general is good but for breakfast the number of people serving is not enough, so be prepared to wait a little. Room is big, good shower and both room and bathroom very clean. Far from airport (45 to 60 min - no rush hours).

My wife had a conference at the Ibero university and stayed in the hotel (round one). People were very nice. Room was nice. Swimming pool was WOW - really nice. The restaurant in the lower level of the adjoining Fiesta was enjoyable. Only downside was that it took a taxi to get anywhere. The shopping mall interesting to visit but we could drive there and walk around. Mexico DF took a taxi and was a good distance away. Not a lot of restaurants in the Sante Fe area but if you're in the area it's a good hotel.

Located near Santa Fe Mall but in a business area. Not much to see there. On the other hand, services are wonderful in most every area of hotel. Reception was ok. Room was very neat, clean and well decorated. Very quiet rooms. Bed was very cosy and confortable. Linen smells were very good! (I'm kind of picky with smells). When checking out, I told reception man that nobody told me about cellular calls not included at internet & phone pack i bought when checking in. They took all cell calls I did out of my bill. Nice surprise. I just felt that people that serves customers (checkin and restaurant) could be a little more pleasant. I recomend Fiesta Americana Santa Fe.

Unless you are traveling for business in the immediate area, do not stay in Santa Fe. It is a long way from Mexico City's charms and riches. If you are here for business, there are better choices than this. As lover of great architecture I was looking forward to staying in the unusual oval building, yet after checking in I soon realized that it lacks any kind of atmosphere or style, and because of its remote location guests are likely to feel captive. Management takes advantage by price gouging as much as possible. Internet access, bottled water (anything from the minibar), and in-room coffee are outrageously overpriced, and the hotel facilities and services do not make up for it. Because of high occupancy I was "upgraded" to the club floor, but was charged for the privilege of using the lounge. The rooms are very ordinary for a supposed stylish, contemporary 5-star hotel, with ugly commercial carpeting, Ikea-like furniture and clunky obsolete TVs. My in-room CD player was not working, later removed and never replaced. Luckily, the TV system offered a couple of music channels, but no on demand movies or basic hotel functions. Speaking of high-tech, there are indicators in the hallway for housekeeping and others to know whether guests are in their rooms, (tiny red and green LED lights), yet one housekeeper opened my door without even knocking or using the buzzer while I was in, and did not even apologize. The next day, when I returned to the hotel around 4pm my room had still not been cleaned. Not that I wanted to spend much time there, since my 7th floor view was of the loading areas and roof of the convention center across the street. All in all, it was a less than pleasant stay.

Room Tip: stay elsewhere
