“Would only stay here for business nearby”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Stayed here for five nights for business nearby - so location was good for me and the shopping mall provided an alternative to eating in the hotel. Hotel is however a good 45 minute drive from downtown Mexico City. My first visit to Mexico so i am not sure what the norm is here but my first impression of this hotel was that they have different standards when it comes to cleanliness in the bathroom; initial appearances were good (no mould) but closer inspection showed the cleaning was incomplete as all the surfaces had a dull appearance as if the final step of the cleaning had not been completed. Also there was no hot water in the shower the first day - and thereafter only when the hot tap on the sink was running. That said, generally it was a clean modern hotel - that thankfully swayed when the earth moved on 21st August! eakfast was included in the price and was okay - would have been better if the grill was staffed every day. Hotel transportation seemed unorthodox - unlicensed taxis ? - but no problems with safety or cost. I would stay here again if i returned on business but that would be the only reason.

When i stayed here may 2013 i was happy with this hotel. This time it was not the same. I was asked if i wanted executive suite upon late checkin for quite a big fee. The receptionist told me all should be included. Entering my room even the water has a pricetag so i felt ripped off. Complaining they said its not included. So this was a salestrick i guess. Breakfast buffet has gone down in quality. My toilet in my room smelled old pig upon entering. Not good at all

I switched from the Crowne Plaza in the same area. Great idea. Better service better modern rooms. Location is in a mall with a grocery store, Starbucks movie theater bowling, TGI FRIDAY'S, office depot Subway Sandwiches. Bank machine on second floor

Was there 11 days for business August 2013. After 3 days, recognized they I would not get help cleaning sink, toilet, or surfaces. Went down to the Superama (Walmart grocery) on the first floor and bought disinfectant wipes. Cleaned all the porcelain and then scrubbed off the crud around light switches, outlets, door knobs, etc. Got coasters at the Fridays restaurant downstairs, and wiped out all my glassware with sterilizing wipes, rinsed with bottled water, and left them inverted on the coasters. Only way to get clean glassware was to put old stuff on the floor, but he new glassware did not appear very clean, so cleaned everything all again. Sometimes they bring me toilet paper, but many days they take the roll next to the toilet, and leave the spool empty. Good thing there is another roll stashed under the sink.

On the very last day of my 11 day stay, the porcelain god was cleaned.

Breakfast also hit or miss. I have seen others give up on getting breakfast service and walk out. I get my own coffee if ignored by staff that seem to be aimless. Tables in the dining room are left dirty, instead of being cleaned and reset. The staff does not seem busy, just unfocused. The short order cook who was was there at the breakfast station for the first week of my stay appeared unable to do more than one thing at a time. If I ordered "dos huevos, media" she would not put them on the grill until all previous orders were complete. This person was untrained, and a disaster, but unsupervised. We all watched her fail, surely a disappointment to her and all the guests she could not serve.

I asked at checkout to have the bill detail sent to me, and the clerk agreed. I have since written to the hotel, to corporate, and included this issue in a customer satisfaction survey. I have asked a coworker to handy written request to the desk. I don't believe the staff is trained to use email. They don't figure out your bill and put it under your door. They prefer you wait in line to checkout. Pretty poorly managed.

Other than these things, everything is fine. The beds are nice, the TV works, the staff seems friendly. Internet WIFi is free, but slow. No Netflix from this place.

Room Tip: If highway noise bothers you, get an odd numbered (inside) room on a higher floor.

This hotel is located inside a mall and despite the access being difficult, especially with luggage, the hotel itself is very nicely designed, clean and seems new. Moreoevr there is a choice of entertainment just outside your door (Movie theatre, Fridays and some other resaturants). The room was also nicely designed and lit. Nearby, just outside teh mall there are a few shopping plazas so with a short taxi ride you can do some shopping if you have time.

I was excited when I found out this hotel was inside of a mall....a shopping mall! Are you kidding me? A mall! Yes! Well, too bad most of the stores were closed for the evening I was there - although having a Starbucks just downstairs was nice. However, I think the hotel is over-priced and the personnel far too snooty for what it is. It's a cookie-cutter, NH Hotel with the same tacky green wallpaper and shower doors that ensure the floor will be a dangerously wet mess when you get out of the shower. The only reason I'd go back is because it is convenient for my customer.

I usually stay in another hotel in the area but will use this hotel from now and onwards. Located in a mall its good to walk around returning to hotel after workday to relax and eat. Quick checkin and checkout. Comfortable bed and pillow. Shower had low waterpressure and no cabin just some drape so batheoom got wet every morning eventhough no water preassure. Good breakfast
