“Always a great experience. Luxury and location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

I stay often at this Hotel since several years ago. Even my son is continuing the tradition. It is a very elegant hotel in the best neighborhood in Mexico City, just in front of Auditorium and the beautiful Paseo de la Reforma main avenue. Sharing the building there is a Lipp Brasserie, the only franchise out of Paris, and it is an excellent choice for french food.
Service is very good, although this time they had new people in training. But the staff that knows us is always attentive and reminds our names.
It is like home in Mexico City. They are in renovation and there are some incovenients, but despite that they continue being one of the best hotels in the City.

Room Tip: Ask a room with Paseo de la Reforma view. It is the best one.

I stayed here a total of 4 nights last November. The best thing about this hotel is the location. You can walk to shops, restaurants, bars and parks of Polanco. Our room overlooked the outdoor heated pool. In terms of our room, I have no complaints. Room was clean and appeared to be like any standard marriott room. Comfortable size. Chocolates were left on the pillows each evening. Bathroom was also a comfortable size and no problems with water pressure/water temp. I don't recall seeing an inroom coffee maker/kettle. One bad thing- internet was expensive and slow. There is a starbucks across the street -buy a coffee and go there! I used the outdoor pool which was heated. The pool is a decent size, however, if you are looking for a pool to swim a few miles in, this is not the pool for you.

Just stayed there for 4 nights last week. Excellent service at this JW, very friendly staff and they're always helpful. I got a fantastic rate through AAA as well. Location is great as well, Auditorio Metro stop is right behind the hotel and there's some excellent places to eat near by. Uber is now in DF and there are loads in this area so its much much cheaper than the hotel car. Hotel car to Condesa was pricey at around 25USD, Uber was 6USD.

I just spent a week-end on this property and my overall experience was very good. Rooms facing Av. Paseo de la Reforma have spectacular views. Service is very good as expected and the newly renovated rooms are really nice. The hotel's location is excellent and within walking distance to many good restaurants, bars, parks and shopping boutiques.

The only CON is that Wi-Fi is NOT included and it's very expensive (almost $30 USD for one day) (it's only free of charge in the lobby). I consider it's outrageous that a hotel like this does not include a basic service like this and a much cheaper hotel such as a Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn do.

I have been in the hotel 2 nights during a business trip. The rooms are ok. Clean and large (at the club level). Brackfast and dinner at the launge are very good. The pool is ok. Not that big if you would like to swim. The jim is fine.

I stayed at this hotel in the Polanco neighborhood in Mexico City for five days. The location is within walking distance to major must-see sights such as the National Museum of Anthropology. This is a great plus. There are three restaurants in the building, a traditional one in the hotel lobby and a Thai and French bistro, Lipp, also in the hotel complex. I had a delicious meal at Lipp. There are many types of restaurants located in the surrounding neighborhood, also. All staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful. This hotel is a bit more upscale than my usual travel stays, but well worth the splurge. My only suggestion would be the addition of towel bars or additional towel hooks in the bathrooms. There was only one hook in the bathroom, which is OK if there is only one guest, but challenging if the room is shared.
