“Very nice hotel, conveniently located”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2014

I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in or around the Zona Rosa in Mexico City. Very large suites, comfortable (not very modern but in nice shape), good wifi reception, friendly and efficient service, good breakfast. I had asked for a suite at the back (to avoid the music from the clubs in the Calle Amberes); they gave me this. I think that the front suites would be very noisy.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back. The suites at the front are probably noisy due to music from local clubs...

We stayed at Amberes for 2 weeks from July 29-first week in August. The recepcion was very helpful to suggest restaurants and city travel on the Metro and Metro bus. One employee volunteered to help me in my search for particular rare books I was seeking. They helped arrange a trip to Teotihuacan that was excellent. The room was spacious, authentically Mexican, with upgraded bathroom and kitchen areas. I would certainly stay here again. Breakfast is excellent with fresh-squeezed orange juice, fruit, coffee, and several additional options for omelets and traditional dishes.

Room Tip: Specify before arrival that you want a room on an upper floor to avoid nightlife noise. Some party u...

The rooms are fabulous. Very large with a small kitchen, separate bedroom, large living room and we also had a balcony. Internet is excellent, separate routers in every room so no bandwidth problems at peak times. The breakfast (included) is a sit down meal with full service and the food is excellent. Only problems were the time taken to check in (about 30 minutes) and check out (about 20 minutes). At check in they kept answering people before us and were also very confusing about the methods of payment. For some reasons, check out was also into a state of confusion. Very nice restaurants nearby and all around. Metro station 2 blocks away. Perfect location. Zona Rosa is safe to walk around, day and night. Very close to Reforma. Avenue.

Room Tip: We had a room in the front, although a bit noisy from the local bars on Friday night, it was OK.

Myself and my friend stayed here for two nights in June. It is outstanding, with a kitchen, huge lounge and huge bed. You could actually 'house' 4 people here but the bed would probably hold three comfortably. Fridge, cooker, microwave, coffee maker, lovely balcony...and then there's a small gym and roof terrace that we never made it to.

Breakfast is included and isn't just your usual continental or fruit brekkie, this is a proper tasty Mexican breakfast. Good location close to Insurgentes metro station and a safe feeling to the area (OK I came from the UK and had heard lots of horror stories about DF but didn't want to believe them :o).

Only downside is that they don't do single prices (I go back to DF in August on my own and can't afford to stay there), and they charge for the first bottle of water to bring your own.

There was a safe in the room.

Wifi was good in the room but did go down a few times and had to be rebooted.

Room Tip: We stayed in 331 which was excellent.

We stayed in Amberes Suites on two occasions during May for a total of 6 nights.
It is called Amberes"Suites" but it is more like an apartment. Our suite consisted of 2 bedrooms, bathroom, dining area, kitchen and sitting area, all very spacious and clean.

Our suite was on the third floor in the back of the hotel and relatively quiet.
The front desk staff were very pleasant, always with a smile and helpful, we organized several tours through the hotel and all were good and on time.

Breakfast is included and has several choices, all cooked to order.
The location in the Pink Zone is excellent, near everything including restaurants, bars, shops and the Metro. We walked to the Museo de Antropologia (a must see) a nice walk of 25 minutes.

Airport pick-up and drop-off is free between 10 am and 4 pm, a great service and this makes Amberes Suites together with the spacious rooms, breakfast and the Zona Rosa location a great value for your money.
We will stay in Amberes Suite again on our next visit to Mexico City.

I have been traveling to Mexico City for 15 years.I always stay at the same hotel in the Zona Rosa because I knew it well and it was safe, clean and well located. On my most recent trip I when I called for a reservation, they were booked and couldn't accommodate me.

We found a new home at the Amberes Suites Hotel. It's location is great, the suites are enormous and the staff and manager could not have been more helpful. It was a perfect stay and i now have a new home in Mexico City when I am visiting there.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a a great hotel in La Zona Rosa. I am so impressed with the hotel.

There are two bedroom room with a giant livingroom and kitchen. The price is quite reasonable for all of these.
Staff is nice and room is clean. Some books on the bedstand are useful like Mexican Spanish. And I can print in the business center with free of charge.
It has a lot of shops and restaurants around here. I think this hotel is outstanding and perfect.
