Grjeat service prices and excellent redecoration. Better than
competing local hotels. Every one of which was. Booked solid. It used to be the Nikko? Why must I expound. The rooms are clean and the staff well trained

As a diamond member I managed to get upgraded to a huge suite on one of the top floors facing the park. Floor to ceiling windows of the Mexico City skyline - on a less smoggy day these views are unobstructed and breath taking - with views of the surrounding mountains. If you don't get one of these rooms you can also take a peek at the executive lounge which has some great canapes to boot.
The hotel was recently renovated to Hyatt's higher standards and surpasses most of the Hyatt's I've stayed at. The Hyatt lounge and restaurants in the hotels are top notch as well - I particularly liked the bakery near the gift shop. Also the hotel has an imposing lobby with an open concept that showcases some very cool art and shoppes.
Overall a fantastic stay.

Room Tip: get a room facing the park

This has everything that you would expect from a business hotel - Comfortable beds, professional staff, decent wi fi, air con that works. It is in a good location with some excellent places to eat nearby. I was luck enough to stay on a high floor with fabulous views across to the volcano.

Room Tip: Go for a high floor with an even number for spectacular views

One year ago I had stayed at the Hotel under the previous name "Niko" which was excellent. During this past year I have stayed twice at the Hyatt, Mexico City - Polanco neighbourhood.
As stated in other reviews the Hotel is very large with lot's of business people coming and going daily. However the Hotel never feels crowded or rushed. There is always someone either at the front desk, concierge or car waiting area... to answer your questions or be of service.
the concierge actually printed off some maps for us as we were driving to Ixtapa (an 8 hour drive).
There are 3 restaurants and 3 or 3 bars in the Hotel. PLEASE, if you stay in Polanco try the Teppan Grill. This restaurant is amazing, the decor is understated modern/mexican and the service is top notch. The are many "grill-tables" where you can sit and your meal is prepared in front of you or you can have a private room. I have had the opportunity to experience both but I prefer to sit and watch the food cooking. The chefs take pride in their work and it is such a joy to experience. This past week we tried the tempura lobster as an appetizer, delicious but be careful when you bite down it can be very hot. I burned the roof of my mouth, ouch. We had fresh fish and veggies cooked which was delicious. We shared a bottle of wine and the wine list is extensive.
Our room was located on the 34th floor, small, elegant, great view of the park and very clean.
Room service for breakfast was very good. "Healthy breakfast" - egg white omelet, yogurt/fruit, green tea or coffee, juice and bread if you wish. That is a lot of food!
Go to the gym!!!!! It is very nice, lot's of equipment and a beautiful pool.
Very enjoyable 3 nights.

Room Tip: High floors have a great view of the city. Go to Teppan Grill for dinner, excellent!!!!

It is a huge property, extremely busy, with people walking in and out at all times. Yet, it is able to maintain order in what could be a very chaotic situation.

The hotel is evidently well managed, very clean and safe (there is very visible security presence all over); so safe that I leave my laptop at empty meeting rooms without a problem. It is just next door to Polanco, the most sophisticated neighborhood in Mexico City, with great restaurants and shops.

Food is excellent and the only "but" is breakfast at "El Jardin", which gets crowded and huge lines are formed. I suggest that management addresses it since it is irritating to wait when you see that there are empty tables.

Having been in Mexico many times and knowing the quality of handwork, brought a couple of handbags which needed repair. Since I had no clue where to go, I approached the concierge, Mr. Antonio Garcia, who asked me exactly what was wrong and said he would deal with it. To my pleasant surprise, my handbags were fully repaired on the same day.

I guess that the reason why such a huge property works efficiently is due to staff such as Mr. Garcia!

Formerly a Nikko hotel. It has conserved its Japanese atmosphere. The executive lounge is great. And for those of us that like to squeeze some exercise to keep in shape it has a great gym and a swimingpool that you can do some training. Great place!!!!€

Formerly Hotel Nikko Mexico, and now Hyatt Regency Mexico City. I spent my first night wandering around the first two floors, appreciating the paintings in various areas. Room is quite standard with a espresso coffee machine. I had the buffet breakfast one morning and the range of food is amazing! Try grilled cactus if you are daring. Most of the mornings i just bought breakfast from the coffee shop from Ground Floor. Coffee there is freshly brewed, and the grapefruit juice is so fresh!

Front desk staff and conceige staff are very helpful. My boss asked them to pack one of the mirrors he bought from the market for shipment and they did a perfect job! We also ordered a hotel car to take us to Teotihuacan - one hour drive and it cost three of us altogether USD180.

Location wise, i could walk to our Mexico office, along some parkland. It's also close to all the museums - i visited the Cosmopolitan Museum and it's wonderful!

Will be back in Mexico City agai in July this year and i'll surely stay in the same hotel!
