“A bit shabby”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2012

This hotel has all the facilities one would expect of a 5 star hotel as well as professional and helpful staff but the hotel building and decor itself is becoming a bit shabby. Given the some of the super slick designer hotels the Sheraton is competing with, I would suggest shopping around and trying something different. The Hotel Nikko in Polanco is newer and nicer if you are after a hotel with typical facilities and, in my opinion is in a better location due to Polanco's good supply of restaurants and bars.

Questionable cleanliness, windows that don't open, not in such a great area. You can do a lot better for the money. Check out the other hotels in Centro district

If you are looking for a decent hotel in were you can be anonymous, than the sheraton hotel and towers is your place. It is a clean room with really comfy bed and the usual standard interieur. Nothing special. A starbucks in the hotel, wich is nice for the morning coffee. But you ain't gonna see the the real mexico here! (I mean when you are in the hotel you can be anywhere in the world, they all look the same! But if that's what you like, go for it!) We got our room really cheap through priceline. The location is in zona rosa, wich is ok I guess. Mexico city is sooo big, and the things to see are spread, so it's a long trip to everywhere, no matter where you are staying. All in all ok stay.

Spent Christmas at the Sheraton on one of the executive floors. Room was very nice, although not overly large, plenty of space with very nice bathroom and great view of the Reforma. The extra services were appreciated and the breakfast is more than adequate. Housekeeping was perfect. The staff couldn't be better and more friendly and helpful and almost every person spoke good English. I didn't feel like I was in a big hotel...more like home. Drinks in the lobby lounge are expensive and wifi isn't free (probably the only complaint I have), but Starbucks is on the premises with free internet. Taxi service is always available but much more expensive than grabbing one on the street which is much safer than it used to be. In ten years I've never had a problem. Location is just perfect and the area is very safe. Really, for the price (I got a special rate on Expedia) and such great service you can't do much better than this.

This Sheraton is ideally located in Zona Rossa which is safe to hangout , plenty of good restaurants and shopping centers ( Plasa Rosa to the left of the hotel is the best one I found ) .

The hotel staff is extremely nice , the breakfast is just amazing and keeps you full till dinner.

As usual in these hotels their taxis cost the triple so just call a taxi station ( radio taxi ) or go to one ( there is one behind the HSBC tower ) .

We booked this place on Priceline for $80USD per night. The hotel itself is quite dated, especially in the rooms. But the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including the concierge. Gabriel in particular had a lot of great advice and recommendations for us.
