“Diego Rivera murals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

Main exhibition was closed but you can view the murals by Diego Rivera. They are worth the visit by themselves.

Several guides are available. They are not official but worth every pesos they ask. It's a crash course in Mexican history with a thorough description of the Rivera's Murales.

It's also a military post. First time I visit a museum where the staff is equipped with automatic riffles.

Free entrance. We had to show our passport.

“Don't expect a throne room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

This palace is very plain compared to other palaces around the world. A large courtyard with a fountain in the center is the focal point. The murals are excellent and provide a unique pictorial insight into the history of Mexico. The gardens are nice but I didn't linger long a bit disappointed in the plainness of if all.

“Murals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

A trip here, with a guide, will give you an excellent overview of the history and timeline of Mexico as a nation. It is depicted in a set of murals on the palace walls. well woth a visit.
