“FIRST UNIVERSITY IN THE NEW WORLD”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

The actual campus that houses most of the faculties was built in 1959 to make a conglomerate that would replace all the buildings that were spread out all over Mexico City. All the main disciplines of knowledge are covered with full 5 year degrees, master degrees and most with doctor degrees. Of very modern architecture with beautiful murals, the various buildings used to house more than 120,000 students in 1965, which are now more than 350,000. It is a must visit!

“Really cool University ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

The CU is great.

The murals and buildings by the main entrance sandwiched between Universidad and Insurgentes are impressive. The large open spaces even more so.

The Olympic Stadium is a standing piece of modern Mexican history. Read about the history of the UNAM before going and it is even more interesting.

Nice place to get away from the city.

“I would love to study here!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Loved the Central Library of Ciudad Universitaria! The murals are beautiful! And the stories they tell, truly awesome!

But what I loved the most was the Centro Cultural Universitario, the MUAC, not only for the exhibitions but for the restaurant that is really wonderful, with great food and great views!

“Big old University”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

The buildings are great, since some of the contain a lot of historical paintings. And some others are modern. The culture of the university is interesting as well.

“A most see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

If you love art, this is one of the things that you most do!
The university was declared as a World Herritage Site.
A prehispanic architecture is reflected on its construction and you can admire the artwork from some of the greatest artists from Mexico during the 1930´s and 50´s.
Go for a walk through this beautiful campus and bring you cámara, I bet you´ll will enjoy the place.
