“Outstanding food, fantastic place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012 via mobile

Litoral is simply an amazing place to have great seafood. The menu is straight forward but the food quality is superb. It is located in Tamaulipas street in Condesa and most tables offer great views of the street, almost like a big terrace. Service was really good, even for Mexican standards which are hard to beat. I went with my wife and would definitely go back

“Unique Food, great presentation !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Amazing food! Try the flowers battered in a sundried tomato sauce ! If you like sweet meals, the orange chicken is nice , a little too sweet for me. Chocolate cake was sensational !!!

“Frozen crab claws and boring pasta”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012 via mobile

My girlfriend and I decided to share a plate of crab claws. Unfortunately these were not fresh and had been defrosted. Really left a bad taste. For mains I had an ok tuna steak and my girlfriend a boring plain salmon pasta.

They should seriously re-think their menu as it was plain and something everybody can make at home. There is no excuse for not using fresh ingredients. Bad!

The selection of wine was also poor!

“very pleasant, popular with local politicos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2011

For Mexico City tourists who want to get out of the Reforma/ Centro Historico/ Polanco areas, I recommend a trip to Litoral for comida or cena. I've had a number of very pleasant meals here over the past 5 years or so when visiting Mexico City. It's on a tree-lined boulevard in the Condesa neighborhood. The restaurant has two levels of tables and outdoor seating. The service is excellent. I've only had seafood and it has all been very fresh and nicely presented. As in most Mexico City restaurants, patrons can linger over drinks and their meal as long as they like. The art of relaxed dining a la Mexico City is practiced here.
