“Paragon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

This hotel is superb, a true paragon of excellency. Rooms are very big, beautifully decorated, mine even had a steam room in the bathroom. The hotel in general is very sober and without true personality but nice in general, the service is impeccable and friendly. In general I felt a bit overwhelmed, but, in a good way. Everybody told me that I should try the Spa but alas, I had no time for it.

Dear Salvador S,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write an excellent review about your last experience with us. We have spoken to our owners who were truly honored to learn that you found our rooms comfortable and beautifully decorated. I would like you to know that we are currently renovating our lobby space, with brand new furniture and carpet and a new stunning chandelier. Alejandra Ochoa, our Remède Spa Director, will be waiting for you during your next visit and I will be delighted to meet you personally and to celebrate this moment with a lovely bottle of Veuve Clicquot.

I have read your comment this morning during our morning meeting and all of our team was very proud.

Fond Regards,

This was our third time stay at this hotel. This is by far one of the best hotels we've stayed at. There's an intimacy about the room where you simply don't want to leave. The rooms are modern, clean, and a great size. The rain shower in the bathroom is heaven. Very large and dimly lit makes it an oasis. We had a few dinners at J&G Grill. The service and food was excellent. Be sure to check out the gym on the 15th floor. It offers panoramic views of the city as well as free bottles of water and apples!

The hotel is conveniently located in the Zona Rosa with many restaurants and conveniences nearby. An upscale shopping mall is about a 10 minute walk away and the neighborhood of Polanco is accessible by taxi in less then 10 minutes. The staff was always helpful and eager to be of assistance at any time. Highly recommended!

Our favorite place to stay in Mexico City. My husband prefers the rooms here to the 4 seasons. Although he loves the service at the 4 seasons too, just the rooms are a little older.

Rooms are clean, beds comfy. Lighting and climate controls add to the relaxation. The rooms are quite except during rush hour, but we were not bothered by this at all.

Service is here is top notch. Concierge very helpful this trip. They secured tables for top restaurants, sometimes at the last minute.
Butlers looked after every need in a swift manner. I like that there are no coffee machines in room. Jusf dial the butler and a fresh pot of French pressed coffee is delivered with little pastries too:)

Wednesday evening we attended
the champagne ceremony. Guests assisted by popping the tops off bottles with sabers. I had never seen it before, so it was fun.

We usually order room service for breakfast but at this hotel we eat at Diana in the morning. There is a nice selection of fresh fruits, eggs and different meats set out buffet style. Fast service in morning if you are in a rush.

The work out area is super clean! There are headphones provided, if needed. Happy I brought along my MP3 player because only 1 English tv station.
Dressing rooms have sauna and steam areas. It's a shame the sauna does not get hot enough, the steam area works well. Although the sauna in the spa is nice and toasty!

We only have good things to say about this St Regis. They work hard to please and it shows.

As for dinning, Mexico City has so many world classes places to tend to eat away from the hotel.

This hotel is very well situated on Reforma, and unless you have business in the Polanco district best to avoid it. Reforma is THE main street in the city and yet has less traffic gridlock and hustle & bustle than Polanco. Plus it has such a beautiful avenue where you can walk or run anytime.

The hotel itself is up to SR standards. The gym is great, not crowded and has very nice service for breakfast.

Room Tip: If you're not a light sleeper, then ask for a room overlooking Reforma USUALLY quiet, except if...

St Regis Mexico City is one of the most exclusive and best hotels in the City. Under a fantastic new management your personal Butler will take of all your needs. The rooms are fantastic but the pool and spa on the 15th floor overlooking the Diana Cazadora monument is spectacular !

Room Tip: Its well worth to pay a bit more to stay in a junior suite. You don't need to leave the room to...

This is a very nice hotel... Don't get me wrong. I just did not feel that everyone who worked there was that happy or was that excited to deal with their guests.

The hotel feels like it lacking a soul. I often would come around the corner from the elevators and walk by the front desk to see the staff grouped together talking about something. One time I came around the corner and the one guy worker had his hands on the female workers shoulders. It made me feel quite awkward.

Additionally, when they barged into my room to drop off the welcome fruit basket it did not feel very 5 star.

I am a SPG Platinum guest and have traveled a lot... and this hotel just did not 100% live up to what I thought it should.

Don't get me wrong... beautiful rooms, beautiful pool, nice gym etc but the lack of soul just made me feel empty... and when one travels alone you want your hotel to feel like a welcome home.
